♻ Classic "Restart" after Naxxramas, and F R E S H Servers

You think a character with 2600+ posts is one of “that guys” alts? Whoever that is?

Even if it was, who cares?

Does that have something to do with post-Naxx classic, which isn’t here yet, and therefore no one can speak with authority about?

  1. Start working on Classic +!
  2. Merge Classic servers
  3. Win

When they Merge they could have one or two servers that resets if that’s what people want, personalty once I do Naxx I’m not doing the whole grind again…nothing is fun to me about doing the same thing over and over cause its “fresh” some people like that though so more power to them! :man_shrugging:

NO ONE is asking for your precious Classic progression to be wiped, no one, not a single person, drop it.

I could definitely see blizzard opening up a set of servers that have regular resets eventually. The experience playing on a fresh server is definitely different than playing on an established server.

I wonder what that “hard work” statement refers to in light of all the bugs and wrong versions of gear and items?

No one is asking for that directly, but the release of TBC or WOTLK may as well mean that.

You are not just erasing hard earned progression, but a tightly knit community around wow classic.

I don’t what wrong versions of gear and items you refer to, but bugs happen no matter what.

If your wow classic community is so tightly knit they will stay with you on wow classic.

If someone is playing to show support for TBC or Wrath or whatever, they aren’t just going to stick around forever in Naxx if it doesn’t come. Many people will quit if we hit p6 and nothing happens.

I almost expect them to release plans for the future just over 2 weeks from now.

And guess what, if people quit because they are bored that community is just as gone.

I have an awesome idea. How about let’s get past Naxx and then we worry about it?

Sure. By all means. They can show support for tbc or wotlk.

Which begs my question - why show support for a version of a game where you are not looking forward to. If they are releasing tbc or wrath they would likely do so on new servers which means level 1 to 70 to prevent people from gaining an unfair advantage.

So as a hardcore TBC or WOTLK fan why are u even sticking on wow classic severs? Are you secretly hoping that in the event they launch TBC or WOTLK you are hoping they will do so on current servers?

Why not just go and play BC or WOTLK emulators if u love that version of the game instead of playing wow classic where there is nothing vested of interest to you?

Some people will quit if BC is released. Some people will quit if it isn’t released. Neither of us know how many are in each group. An intelligent person would stop making the unsupported claim that the vast majority think exactly like they do. But 15 years of forum experience has taught me not to expect much rational thought in wow forums.

Because they probably won’t do fresh only tbc servers. Was it an unfair advantage for people who started in tbc when they played with people who were there at launch? No. There is next to zero reason to think you will not be able to copy or transfer your 60 to a tbc server

I show support via classic because the pservers don’t support blizzard in any way. Classic needs to be successful for them to continue

thee will be no fresh start servers you will have to go back to private servers for that we will get classic tbc and maybe classic wrath after.

I’m referring to some items being in their 2.0.1 state, such as a few proc items such as skull of impending doom.

As far as bugs, how about Druid feral talents no applying on shift, being manaburned in forms, Paladin seals doing wonky damage (rank 3 SoR doing more damage than rank 4), warrior charge sharing stun DR, famous hunter bug list which I don’t need to repeat and they are only partially fixed, and the emulated batch delay causing bugs that didn’t exist in Vanilla.

Bugs exist in everything, the only thing that matters if they are working on them or not, I have seen them acknowledge the hunter bugs and say they are. It’s a small team, probably takes awhile, the main wow team ain’t going to have time to help anymore like they did at launch

Some of yall have stockholm syndrome I’m convinced

Why would we need to restart vanilla when they will just open up tbc servers

Hence my post.

The only evidence we have of them working on classes was hunters (understandably they were practically unplayable) but problems like mana burning Druids is going to become a massive issue when the honor system and battlegrounds is released.

They have time, so hopefully.
