♻ Classic "Restart" after Naxxramas, and F R E S H Servers

If you’re just here for TBC you shouldn’t even be playing this game. Just play an emulator.

This is World of Warcraft Classic, they released World of Warcract Classic to meet the massive demand for an original, authentic, mmorpg sensation.

NOT TBC,
NOT WOTLK.

You want TBC? You want WOTLK? Retail is - - - - - - - > THAT WAY

The vast majority of players want classic to remaim classic forever, indefinitely and we do not want our hard earned gear wiped after several years just because someone prattles for “added content”

In classic, wpvp, community interactions and group events were the highlights if end game.

Not some boring, endless rep grind for factions or mindlessly farming to prepare for the next xpac that will happen in x month that will wipe all current progression away.

What point is there in playing when everything is wiped away?

You do know that no one is asking for Classic servers to be wiped or move to TBC right?

Also, retail has nothing to do with TBC or Wrath, or even cata mop or wod.

They’ve already stated TBC is a good chance of happening.

But i’ll restate NO ONE wants them to wipe the Classic servers to have it happen.

They said at Blizzcon that they have tbc files ready should they evet decide to go that route.

Can you be so kind to directly quote that source where they said explicitly TBC has a good chance of happening?

Personally I am strongly against opening TBC or WOTLK servers because that is adding added stuff or content that retail currently has and it will open the flood gates to “MORE XPACS” when its nowhere as popular as the original, authentic version of world of warcraft.

Nah. I’m already bored of classic. It’s time for a new game.

I’m sick of retail and already bored of classic. The formula is stale. We need a next generation MMO.

I don’t know that. Neither do you. I’ve seen no data what so ever to back up that opinion. I’ll play classic to the end on a main and a couple of alts. Then I’m done. Unless bc comes out. I’ll play my few alts through that then I’m done. Unless wrath comes out. I probably won’t go on if they release cata. I don’t know what percentage of the current pop of classic is like me but I’ve seen many post something like this so I’m not alone

They did an AMA right before launch where they stated that if Classic were to do well TBC was likely to be next and that since they have already done all the hard work TBC would be easy.

Kind of hypocritical of you to want Classic (your favorite version of wow?) but immediately say no to anyone wanting their favorite version.

Another one of that guy’s alts smh

Uh, no. It should not be a move. It should be a copy.

There’s no reason to force people to abandon 60s on vanilla realms. That’d be about the dumbest thing they could do.

Yeah he’s full of crap. My preferred version of the game would actually be WOTLK but without the removal of Naxx40. The only real problem with WOTLK was that they started removing content.

It should have to be a decision, do I want to play this character on classic, or TBC not just a press of a button to have both.

No actually it should be a press of a button to have both.

We shall have to agree to disagree, the only one who makes that decision in the end is Blizz and I will happily play either way.

I can get on board with this. Splitting the player base at this point is a silly argument after seeing how it was when classic re launched.

Says the 17.

Wait, what does level have to do with splitting the player base? Oh yeah nothing. Lots of people have 120s for the forums since BFA was out quite a bit before classic and people like to post on their toon with the highest trust level, gtfo with that nonsense.

Splitting is a silly argument in general, people will always gravitate towards what they want regardless.

your not going to keep all the people wanting TBC around paying a sub if you say no TBC, so you split it either way.

Maybe copy a toon over but not transfer. You’re locked into the Classic server. If the population becomes transient, it may as well be a progression server.

That I disagree. If TBC or WOTLK was so popular, why only release wow classic? Shouldnt they have released TBC or WOTLK if they were more popular than classic?

The number and demand for classic > all other XPAC on the P. Server scene speaks for itself.

This is the best direct quote i coyld find about AMA. No where in it states they are going to have a highly likely chance of releasing TBC, again - pls be so kind as to state your direct reference and quote? Thanks.

To each their own, but I feel it should be a decision to make.

WoW Classic is the first logical step before moving on, it’s the groundwork.

“We’ve done most of the hard work by bringing back 1.12 so progressing to Burning Crusade would be a lot easier for us. Our plan is to identify everything we need to do should we ever decide to go this route. We want to be sensitive to the desires of our players. Some may want BC and some may not. We’ll be following the Classic community closely to help determine what our next steps should be.”

Is the direct quote from the AMA, and Ion mentioned during an interview or presentation that if Classic was successful TBC would be a possibility.

If the community wants it, it will happen, don’t be a hypocrite. You got your piece of the pie, let the rest of us have ours.

And Ive seen even more posting to #KeepClassicClassic

I cant speak for you or that wannabe Fresh P. Sever OP but,

I definitely know what I want and I see no point continuing my sub if they are just going to release TBC and wotlk to wipe my current wowclassic progress and now allow end game to thrive in its own classic glory.
