They stated that 1.12 is the BASE. Based on your logic they’d just release it as 1.12 everyone out in one go.

It’s hilarious you think this. The gamer dad crowd will likely remain on retail, they don’t have the time to get to 60 in a reasonable time on classic, not to mention do any endgame.

I was just listening to people speaking on a podcast about exactly how they will combat that - 20 seconds of cc.
If this is found out to be an efficient way of farming honour, you bet your butt people will be doing it. We don’t even have a release date and people are already trying to figure out the most optimal way of farming honour pre-BGs.
This is why I’m presenting it as something to consider. Sure, there’s the chance that it isn’t optimal (as it won’t be on lower pop servers anyways). However, there could be servers where the traffic through flight paths justifies waiting the 20 seconds to kill someone in one shot as opposed to having to find someone to kill.
A) It’s 30 seconds, not 20.
B) It isn’t efficient, and it isn’t optimal. There’s no point in trying to say “but what if” when we outright know that it is not.

Doesn’t phase 2 coincide to BWL? Isn’t that when the PvP system was initially implemented?
Since the link at the top breaks down the phases, I’ll just mention this as a reminder. Phase 2 is DM, kazzak, and azy. Phase 3 is BWL. So the weapons are out and obtainable before you even step foot into BWL. To me that is a problem.

May I ask where your conclusive evidence comes from knowing it won’t be efficient?
Do you know how much time it will take to find someone who yields honor and also kill them in the wild? There are so many variables you can’t just outright say “we know it’s not”. How do you know it’s not? Where is your data?
but, with how long it takes to hit r14, VERY few will have them

Dire Maul is also a natural choke point that can be farmed on everyone trying to get in, it will be released at the same time

Still the rarity and amount of time it takes to rank to 14 will keep the vast vast majority of people from getting r14 weapons before BWL.

PS - Do you realize that higher population servers, which would have more flight path traffic, also would have more people out in the wild? Do you realize that actual group combat draws in more people and grows, while flightpath ganking dries up traffic? Have you ever actually world PVP’d in a real server?
Nobody is hitting r14 off wpvp alone before bwl comes. Dont even worry about that

Those that get r14 weapons congregate to others that do too. Disproportionally this will make the best guilds better and the worst worse.

People should play on a PvE server if they don’t like Wpvp… like, that is the whole point of a pvp server lol… the entire point.

The fact that high level PvPers are speaking about this very strat and performing it isn’t worrying to you?
You also completely missed my point about people in the wild - which is understandable since you are being very stubborn regarding my points and just disregarding them for you own, but that’s besides the point - the time it may take. These people are going to fight back, use their defensive cooldowns such as Ice Block to stall you as opposed to the level 55 landing who just gets one shot after your CC wears off for the debuff.
