I can’t see Oceania not getting a couple of servers. There was quite the diaspora of Aussies and Kiwis throughout NA servers in vanilla - not all of us knew enough to know there were unofficial Oceanic realms.

There are still a fair few people playing retail on Oceanic servers, so taking that into account, not having classic servers would be strange to the point of incredulity.

I think at this point, it’s pretty much a given. But official confirmation would be nice, it’s always fun to kill at least some of the speculation so we can focus on more important things to obsess over.

I agree that it’s a given, however, there’s always that sense of doubt. With all the news coming out lately, minor or major, would be nice to see Oceania feature for a sentence stating that there will be dedicated oceanic servers

Larger Regions are

  • US
  • EU
  • China
  • South America

Oceanic and Korea are far smaller. However, I would imagine, given they have Oceanic liver servers located in Australia, that it would be simple to spin up one or two.

I was on Silver Hand and moved to Aman’Thul and eventually Caelestrasz. Unfortunately (or fortunately for me), I moved to the US in the interim, so I’ll be aiming to go back to Silver Hand.

Amen to that. Wouldn’t mind a taste of America though, there are very few of you over here, what’s the deal?
I don’t feel like being shot though so I won’t be visiting the U.S anytime soon, as curious as i might be

We need a blue post! Given the fact they’re working on getting the realms running on their modern server architecture, and that Oceanic already has servers for BfA, it makes sense they’d spin up some Oceanic Classic servers, right
?

Been to the US for two weeks (Vegas and LA mainly) and loved it.

I like the morale of the story but I’m still personally anxious to get confirmation that we are getting Oce servers because, like I said, that could make it or break it for a lot of people in the region.

I know a lot of people who’ve said that in this region so I’m hoping they will provide the Oceanic servers. I don’t want to not be able to play the game I love because the servers are dead and I have to play on US realms.

I will still play Classic if we don’t get Oceanic servers. It is really the only game I am interested in playing at the moment.

I’m also not worried in stating that, because we have servers now, and have for many years, so I have no fear of not getting classic. With it all being cloud-based nowadays, there would be nothing simpler than to give Oceanics a classic server or three.
