Yes 1.12 is not vanilla. I love to see the babies cry with a broken 1.1 build. We already made changes. Keep a classic server for those that really like it and give us classic plus with all the good things added to the game.
Token system for raids and dungeons and class balance are two things that should be in classic plus.
In all new content zones thatās current there has been no flying since MoP, except in the last tier and thatās only for those who have obtained Pathfinder. So where has all the WPvP been then? It should have come back in full swing, but it hasnāt. Why?
Thatās because the vast majority of PvP happens in BGās.

Glad to see that someone is able to actually speak the truth and admit what the REAL reason was as to why wpvp participation went on the decline. The OP and everyone else who shares his same views on it are either woefully ignorant and just parroting the same BS theyāve heard or read about from other players who actually believed it, ORā¦they are nothing but low life gankers and corpse campers.
I keep forgetting about resilience gear that made pvp and pve truly separate in gear progression.
Yeah and resil was the great equalizerā¦it prevented raiders from dominating in PvP like vanilla was. Lots of people hate on resil because of thatā¦but it made the PVP scene better because you were required to win with skill instead of being OP from raid gear
Unless you were a bear tank, then you needed it to get past the smashing blow cap quicker.
That was annoying.
See the thing is you actually had to be there to know what happened. Most of these guys are talking off what someone told them.
The thing is I donāt think most people care that BGs took the place of Wpvp. Blizzard really had no choice though. Guild Wars is the game that forced Blizzard to do these things. Either they kept up with the competition or Guild Wars would have become the defacto PvP MMO game. Which it still kind of did. Thatās why the Koreanās and the super hardcore PvPāers played Guild Wars instead of Wow.
Yep defense for a tank amounted to stacking Dodge, Parry, and Defense rating to avoid crushing blows from bosses. Otherwise you ran the risk of getting 1 shot. Especially if it was a crit on top of it lol. Once you were able to push crushing blows off of the attack table, outside of uncontrollable circumstances such as your healer being mind-controlled or stunned, or killed⦠tanking became much easier provided you were able to maintain threat well enough
they have no vision
Literally the only complaint you listed that was in any way valid was the limited attempt system.
Everything else is bandwagoning, scapegoating nonsense.
People who ask for TBC are uninformed tbh.
When Isle of Quel came out, the welfare was so strong that it made every other piece of content pre-Sunwell basically irrelevant.
Is that what ppl want? A server that lasts like 12 months?
At least on C+ itās a much easier endeavour and lasts longer. Just retune all the bosses +100-200% and add 4-6 new abilities to each boss in raids and dungeons, backporting assets via modern expacs (Classic runs on Legion client)
They donāt have to add mechanics, they have to add the danger of being killed instantly by the boss if you donāt have gear. Resistance gear should be required for MC, messing up at all should get you or your raid basically insta killed, threat should be hard to hold without gear. These were the staple marks of Vanilla. By the time patch 1.12 came out most of these issues were meh because the patch was made for Naxx and TBC pre patch. Loot tables were adjusted to make gearing easier too by this point. Mana was much easier to manage, healing was far easier to do efficiently, there was a lot of buffs between 1.4 and 1.12 when you add them up they become substantial.
Or they could stagger the raid content release so it comes out in Phases and thus emulates the original BC Patch releases so that Sunwell isnāt even available until a year after the Classic BC servers go live.
Define a remaster
Thats fine, enjoy retail.
And while i can understand that, a lot of people that want changes, want ones that ARENT in the spirit of vanilla.
Would you take the bad to get the good?
Oh hey look, another one of these threads.
Why is it that people canāt see the possibility of having both? of having purely vanilla servers while other servers move up on the expansion chain? of having optional free transfers to said servers so people who want to progress past vanilla donāt lose their current progress, and people who want to stay vanilla keep their progress?
Why all the doom and gloom on both sides? itās not like they canāt meet in the middle. And the more we support this concept, the more chance we have of it becoming a reality instead of just isolating one group and killing off the other.
And yeahā¦I donāt see classic+ happening. I think the only reason Classic even happened was they still had the code for 1.12 lying around. which means they still have TBC and wrath data most likely. Classic+ would be an entirely different and deeper investment on Actiblizzās part, which I donāt see coming. TBC and wrath far more likely.
What about those who want just bc or just wrath?
#nochanges
Nah I think Iāll stick around to catalogue the flaws with Classic that hipsters like yourself would rather pretend arenāt there.
Like how borderline useless the auction house is for effective price searching; Telling me what the lowest bid is is borderline worthless when iām trying to guesstimate what I should be pricing a stack of mats for.
