Why does it matter if retail is full? Alot players playing classic dont play retail. My friend list is 50/50 retail to classic. Which it has been a few days after launch.
I quit in BC, daily choresā¦ bleh. Every instance turned into scarlet monastery (hall-boss-hall-boss done)ā¦ sure sometimes you want a short instanceā¦ but sometimes you want a 3 or 4 hour BFD instance,. making every instance an instance node with multiple hall-boss encounters in every one was stupid. Putting pvp specific gear in was stupidā¦ now I have my PVE healing, PVP healing, PVE tanking, PVP tanking sets instead of just my tanking and healing sets was stupid. Needing to do daily chores is stupidā¦ if I have 10 min to play, lemme grind for 10 min if I have 10 hrs to play over a weekend, let me play for 10 hrs, donāt make me grind exactly 25-30min every day in 1 spot for some retarded daily to keep up and then after that, anything I do is more or less, irrelevant. A lot of people like BC and it wasnāt bad in a vacuumā¦ it did destroy the entire genre though to be fair since everyone tried to copy it and it was a shadow of what vanilla made
I really feel thatās more to do with new animations and particle effects than anything.
They slowed the GCD for everyone this expansion to combat that. Issue is they didnāt really tweak the interaction that has with general PvE to make it feel better IMO.
Funny part is FF7 remake will have either turn based or street fighter style gameplay
I do agree that in general burning Crusade was the first step down the ladder. But I never had any issue with the feeling of needing to log on to do dailies, I suspect because at that point I was still playing joyfully, willingly, in other words Iād have played even if I didnāt need to do chores.
I suspect daily quests are something people grab onto when they seek something to dislike about a game they already dislike. After all, plenty of games have such requirements. Survival games require upkeep, raiding certainly requires enormous upkeep, and of course RPGs are notoriously for ātime gatedā āgrinds.ā (I.e., base level RPG gameplay)
Iām also ambivalent about special gear types being placed in the game as well. I just couldnāt care less one way or another.
I am because Retail isnāt dead at all, Qās pop all day, Wpvp is endless. Trade chat is as busy as Classicā¦
If you donāt know what youāre talking about, keep your opinions to yourself, otherwise you come off as a bloated bovine.
If you think Retail is alive and breathing, you must be delusional. It is just a lifeless husk of something once was.
Yikes bud, youāre more interested in trying to prove a narrative where you believe the community is alive and not the game.
The actual game of retail is fine population wise as like other posters have pointed out queues pop, wpvp is huge, and trade chat is nonstop.
Not a dead game, not even close.
you do realize that ad hominems are an admission that you donāt have a point.
You are literally saying that either I am lying or that my friends are lying to me. /eyeroll
Lmao truly delusional. You seem angry at a game, I feel sorry for you.
And youāre wrong again. Iām saying youāre completely ignorant about Retail.
No I am no
I waited 40 minutes for an rgb queue a few weeks back (around 8pm eastern), dropped group and havenāt logged in since
They are smooshing layers. Thatās the reason for free transfers. They created so many layers at launch and now they have to cull realm pops so they can steadily reduce the number of layers before phase 2 hits.
and then 6 months turns into a year
one year becomes two
two years becomes ten
it goes on and onā¦
Retail as a whole isnāt dead, but some servers are. I fart around on Kirin Tor every now and then and you can count on one hand how many other players are in a capital city during prime time.
I took a level 100 boost Blizz offered me and I donāt think Iāve seen one single other player doing the Legion content. No alts, no materials farmers, nothing.
Itās basically my private server, which is kind of refreshing when compared to my Classic server
The whiners in denial of Classicās success are the best part of Classic so far.
Reading the crying has provided hours of entertainment.
lies its not massive in anyway modern wow is not a rpg its a game.
Massive simply refers to their being more people than would be possible if they were all playing locally.
Retail not being an RPG . . . I wonāt fight that.
Lmao probably could have made one in less timeā¦
Besides RBGs have never been very popular. And you think at the end of the expansion, while Classic launches, youāll have short rbg Qās?!?
Lmao let me guess you were Horde alsoā¦
Stop with facts that you cannot prove or have no value. Whatever makes you sleep at night, six months from now we will all see.
Not in classic. We donāt know how many layers are on a lot of these servers, but we can confirm at least 6 on faerlina. So thatās 15k right there. Literally 6 times a full retail server.
On retail they do the opposite. They shard servers together to make servers feel populated.
