Why do people lie when the math is built right into their lies? You claim 4000-6000g will buy “big items” … but the only way you’re getting 1500-2000g from a GDKP run is from a pot of 60,000-80,000g … so how exactly are you reaching that number when “big items” only go for 6k when you’re lucky if more than 2-3 “big items” drop in a single run? I guess you’re just joining a special super-conscientious GDKP group of people that are spending thousands of gold on that frost resist gear. mhmm

Guessing you don’t play a lot of Retail because Titles, mounts, ect are cosmetic and people pay real money to “services” to get those things that they cannot get because of personal reasons.
When people can sell gold in games for real money, it’s always going to be that way. There will never be an mmo that is not pay to win. It does really ruin the game, so hard to find a dungeon group because everyone is just paying to get run through dungeons.

And by the way, you would have absolutely no way of proving who does or doesn’t cheat in a guild. I reckon most gold buyers don’t let anyone know they’re actually doing it.
I know what you’re trying to say but that’s literally not what “P2W” means, P2W means you have to pay to make your character able to complete the end game without doing anything, paying to make your character stronger would just be P2AAE.
It’s just semantics but if you’re going to nitpick others comments about accuracy then you should really consider making your own accurate.
If you think about it, everyone getting a share of illegitimately obtained gold is actually the worst case scenario…and sort of highlights a different problem in how one person who buys gold excessively can in turn unfairly ‘benefit’ 39 other people at any given GDKP.
The effect to the economy is pretty immeasurable, in that sense.
You can just buy an account, that option was always there… yet people don’t do that because fun is the game not the destination.

A 2 week pre-patch to level a new toon for the dark portal certainly does not help the game stay boost free, nor does the addition of arena rating to the first two seasons, and to more gear slots.
Here’s the thing though, the more of those there are, the less genuine runs are going. Even if I do not buy them myself, I am still affected by it.
Classic is just people trying to rewrite their history.
