That just means they are good at 2v2 or 3v3. Gz? Most of the gladiators i fought back in the day in duels were so atrociously bad because they had no idea how to counter play a single person if they could not LoS. Or weren’t good in respective BGs. Im not saying these are bad players but just because they are good at one part of the whole does not mean suddenly the game is any more skillful than it was before. Moves like shadow word deathing blinds, to not get cced or whatever exist right now as well. Its just a different iteration of PvP. The same unbalanced iteration it has always been. As I said, they really deluded players into thinking suddenly the game took more skill as before. It does not. Its just less of a timesink and its just focused on some very narrow part of pvp that determines who gets gear and who gets not. Btw, the BGs in TBC were just as bad, if not worse than in classic. If you rank you actually have to win games or your hph is gonna drop. Where as in TBC you get the offset pieces wether you win or lose because you always get the points. Just less. All it does is taking longer, but since there is no honor cap to worry about its even more of a snoozefest.
There is a difference between “best in pvp” and being torn to pieces by a tiger because you can not do anything without the resilience. Not only does it make it unattractive for PvEers who do not want to play Arena or BGs for pvp to engage in world pvp its also an absolute joke for anyone who has PvP gear. TBC ruined any meaningful Wpvp encounters and narrowed it down to one Island (because the flying makes wpvp a joke in the rest of the world).
I mean i can understand why people like the expansion but everyone seems to forget that it had as many new flaws as it had good ideas. Just you wait, once TBC is out the “reality” will set in and forums will be flodded how great WotlK was and that only that expansion was really good. And then they realize that PvP was even more of a Joke there. And everyone wants back to classic. Same tale everytime.
The irony is that they finally fixed the honor system, which is yes god awful in classic, but then replaced it with an even stupider system.
Sure the honor system in classic is just a metric of time played per week but at least the gear isn’t any better than pve gear(and now worse). So they finally fix the honor system but then make it so the best pvp gear(which is now genuinely better for pvp) is from the horrible pvp class balance instead in some the most boring pvp combat. Which just make the class/spec > gear > skill balancing in pvp even worse.
The sad thing is all they needed to do was not make the BG gear a tier lower than the arena gear and/or remove all rating requirements from arena gear.
It only took you a year to figure out what’s going on, bravo.
Guessing you didn’t actually “come to realise” anything and rather “came across an anti-gdkp thread of Reddit” and let them decide what and how you should feel about the matter.
Finally someone that speaks the truth about TBC and not the fluff garbage people pretend it to be.
Arena in TBC is a joke, god I can’t wait for the salt mine that is TBC to hit, all those people who have been fooled into thinking “TBC is Classic perfected!” are in for a rude schock.
It will be worse, TBC is more exploitable than Classic is.
From paid arena boosts, to druids clipping under the map and flying around picking all the herbs unseen, paladin bots solo farming start live for righteous orbs, rogues solo farming chests in dungeons to d/e, and that’s just the beginning.
Private server players have since discovered new gold making exploits in TBC that they are not sharing with the public, 1 such player described the gold farm they found as “extremly broken”, something like 500g an hour for bare minimal effort.
If you think botting is bad now, just wait, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Lol. The playerbase is by and large bad, even with 15 years of increased knowledge. I may not be able to carry someone to glad in tbc 2s, but I’m pretty confident I can carry an afk potato to 2k if the skill levels I’ve seen in classic carry over to TBC.
And I bet I could build a 5s group that could carry a person or two to Glad.
The saving grace of Burning Crusade will be daily quests. This should allow people to make gold legitimately without the desire to waste RL money on in-game money.
Careful there my man, might cut yourself with all that edge.
How does other players buying gold affect you? Really? WoW is a cooperative game. You work together as a team. What someone outside of that team does has little impact on your game.
Unless you’re competing for server 10th kills and the 11th place team is buying clears and items from the top end guilds.
Eventually gold buying comes around to haunt all of us and there’s no way to dodge its mower blades. You can either deal with it and enjoy the game less as a result, quit or buy gold yourself and just add to the misery.
No, they’re right. Not everyone is cheating. Go join an honest guild full of people who don’t cheat or make one and advertise to like minded people. Report players who are buying gold and enjoy the game.
