Classic Fresh MUST HAVE DUAL SPEC

nope :expressionless:
2004 didn’t have dual spec
2019 didn’t have dual spec
2024 will not have dual spec

if you NEED dual spec, you can play SoD.
Period.

if you are addicted to respeccing you can do this thing called “farm for gold”. the horror, i know :expressionless: but I believe in you. you can legitimately farm gold.

I personally agree I feel like it’s a bit too expensive and restrictive for players who want to PvP and PvE and healers/tanks who need to respec just to solo.

But at that same time I think just straight up adding dual spec is a step too far as it would change the Vanilla gameplay far too much.

What do you think about simply reducing the cost or gold cap of respecs to like 10g or something like that?

That way, people can respec much more freely without being afraid of going broke, but it wouldn’t change the gameplay of Vanilla very much at all, or at least much much less than adding dual spec with no restrictions.

Don’t give them an inch, they will take a mile :expressionless:
50g is fine
these same people will whine endlessly about inflation while demanding blizzard take away one of the most effective gold sinks in the game lol

You’re not wrong, they are acting like dual spec is mandatory, and I’m suggesting a compromise.

Another option is simply changing nothing at all, keeping it at 50g just like it was, and that’s that.

I wouldn’t really have a problem with that either, since that’s how it’s always been and this is Classic Vanilla we’re talking about.

I can’t wait for them to add dual spec just to watch you cry :expressionless:

I’d be surprised if there is anything added not already mentioned tbh due to how quick the release is going to be.

Shame, as I always felt Druids deserved to have Polearms this time :crying_cat_face:

They said literally in the announcement that they’re listening to feedback about QoL changes.

game is launching in 6 days. if it was going to have dual spec, it would have already been announced. you lose :expressionless:

allowing druids to use polearms is an interesting idea, i will admit :expressionless:

dual spec is mandatory for classics survival past aq

Make it happen

And they’re wrong but they are normally way out of touch with the player base.

And raid finder for us casual fathers with a family.

Also add arena and inscription, who wants to do the same professions again nah meen

It does though, it enables and makes likely a culture where you must be in a cookie cutter spec for every different content you take part in. Which is the antithesis of classic. Parsing culture doesn’t fit in here, and it absolutely should not be bent to.

Just accept that you’re going to be running some dungeons with people in PvP specs instead of AOE specs. And if that’s unacceptable to you, then perhaps play a different game.

I agree, in SOM respecing was changed to 1g per respec and this was a really good change, and then dual spec was just icing on the cake. One of the main reasons why I don’t want to play classic is the unavailability of dual spec. 50g per respec is only viable on the GDKP ridden Era servers due to all the excess gold from the gold farmers and gold buyers.

It was perfectly fine before GDKP became a mainstream craze :expressionless:
It will be fine after it is banned.

Yes reduced cost to 1g or dual spec i agree
