Yea I guess solo queue itâs a long one. If you premade every AB should be ideally like 5 minutes long. Bit of a grind, those epic plate shoulders do look amazing though.
Yeah I meant solo queuing. Will take years for some people. And for what, MC quality weapons?
The tabard is the real flex. Shoulders are pretty good depending on the class. Yea the weapons are just ok.
I would love a way to work towards r13 pvp gear without losing my job and my wife.
If you could make premades fight premades at the same time, and being able to queue from anywhere, that would be some sweet changes

I think just getting rid of decay is a decent change. It preserves the competitive nature of ranking but allows you to go hard at it when you can and take breaks in between.
No queue from anywhere though, you should have to walk your bum to ashenvale or arathi

Yes youâd still have to hit it hard in the weeks youâre trying to move up in the higher ranks but you could take breaks in between.

The original leak said honor was gone, a points based system was in place and only solo queuing was allowed. If thatâs true then itâs probably a rated BG scenario. Youâd earn weekly points based on your rating / ranking and you could only buy the HWL/GM stuff if you are in the top 1% or whatever the % is.
Would be funny if that was true. The BGâs would become ultra toxicâŚ(see soloq in retail)

Yes please give us a source for that. Cause if itâs solo Q only I know about 60-70 of my close friends/guild and myself will simply unsub and play a diff game/go back to pserv

I personally donât see that happening. Why would they host a WSG and ab AB premade tournament to just turn around and disable grouping? Lmao that would be the most massive fail I could imagine
There is no source, just that one guyâs leak thread.
Doesnât necessarily mean that era will get the exact same pvp changes but blizzard always leans towards minimal effort so itâll just be a copy paste of whatever SoM gets.

Yeah my sense it that leak has more credence after the pvp update announcement. I also asked Sarthe in his twitch chat if he has any idea and he mentioned he thinks itâs a major overhaul and heâs very excited about it. So perhaps itâs a currency system or something? I hope they donât reskin the gear like they did in the tbc prepatch though haha.
The fact that blizzard puts out some vague statement about making changes to one of the most iconic aspects of the classic era game without any specifics is off putting. Their communication is just bizarre and outdated. The fact that theyâre making changes to era which is supposed to be a server set in the way it was originally is also bizarre especially without any new season news. I have zero faith here. The modern employees of blizzard havenât exactly proven themselves.

Yes, I donât trust that Blizzard will do a good job and I also think that Era should not be about making big changes to things that define it like the PVP system, especially when we have other games that people who want those changes can play.
If this was just to address things that arenât really with the spirit of the game before Era like sand running, then fine. So Iâll say if itâs that cool but after what Iâve seen Blizzard pull in the last few years do I expect that? Nope.
Iâm also ok with Season changes because thatâs the point of that and people can take it or leave it (although I still donât like the currency system because starting with TBC pre-patch I saw the very obvious reduced quality of BGs and the âIâm only here for MEâ mindset shift so that will be a âleave itâ for me but Seasons is the place for changes.)
Hardcore should be on its own enough to where they donât have to mess with Era for it.
Iâll always say Era though shouldnât change all that much, especially when itâs done by a developer team that has really destroyed things in, for example, Wrath, to where it is only really fun for the serious min-max speed/parse-obsessed raider players.
I find it sad that some people are ok with things in ERA changing because it will benefit them. They have zero thought to the big picture or any âbutterfly effectâ type things. I think itâs because these types live life only thinking about themselves, thinking that the world should revolve only around them, and they mentally do not think about anything else. Then they attribute those aspects to other people instead of having a real discussion about if itâs right to make sweeping changes that will forever change things that were brought back to stay a certain way.

You are mistaken. Classic Era is free to develop novel content so long as it isnât any of the expansions. That was the single, explicitly stated, parameter given for Classic Eraâs debut. Itâs not a #NoChanges safety bunker.
