I was helping somebody out, in this thread and exposed all the nonsense y’all do.

I already have (in the past), and you lot bullied me (despite my assumptions being correct). And, you lot continue to do so. I even suggested that ignore does nothing here. Perhaps, these forums can pull a Reddit, where you cannot respond to someone’s post, who’s blocked you. To help deter all the harassment that goes on in here. And, unlimited reporting 'cause I’m tired on having to be selective on which posts to report, from you lot. I do not want you lot responding to me. But, there’s no function, on these forums to stop you from doing that. Hence, why I want a Reddit style to stop you, from quoting and/or responding to those who’ve blocked you. Enough is enough.

If you don’t wish to interact it’s on you not to respond. Most everyone else here is present to participate in dialogue with others. Blizzard created the forum for that purpose. Don’t click the hidden post warning and you should be fine. Self control not censorship.

There it is, again, the twisting of what I said. I said I don’t want you to be able to quote nor respond to what I say. That is what I said.

Keyword being “others” and not the same person. Also, there is no “dialogue” with you lot spamming around and not actually talking about topics, but the posters, themselves.

No because the “hidden post warning” doesn’t stop you from quoting/responding to me. I don’t want you lot quoting nor responding to me.

Stopping you from quoting and responding to me is not “censorship”.

Again, I make a suggestion, you bully me. It’s never ending. I want a Reddit style forums, so you lot stop quoting and responding to people who blocked you, for a reason. There’s nothing left to discuss.

That is pretty much the textbook definition.

Reddit is available at this very moment.

I stressed choices.
You are choosing to continue to respond which is great because the forum is for conversation.

On topic:
Some other things that have bled over from SoM to Era would include the incubus (but to be fair that was bleed over from retail) and the unseen spirits in Duskwood not being “hidden” to others after they were engaged. I have no issue with things being altered for the seasonal server/s but Era should be able, save for bug fixes, to remain the same.

My SoM warlock just got the incubus, but I still see people running around with the succubus. Are they learned at different times now?

is a quest, no? Not sure about SoM but it is in Era.

Yeah, it’s a quest, I just don’t know about the succubus, which used to be learned from the same quest.

I guess Google is my friend, I was just trying to pretend to be on topic.

Both are available at or after level 20. There are two separate quests. You can have both. If you get both, and you want to raise their skills, you have to buy the appropriate grimoire from a Demon Trainer, train one, then buy the same grimoire again and train the other one.

Functionally, they are interchangeable. So you could pick one or the other based on your personal preference for appearance, or have both for the variety.

Thanks, Mackinnon, for the explanation. That helps.

Just hit 18 because I don’t get as much opportunity to play solo. Plan to do both quests but use the succubus only as the incubus looks weirder to me even for a demon.

I refuse to use anything but the blueberry.

Yoooo we punting gnomes?

'Twas a dream of mine but alas, Blizz hates fun and thus gnome punting will not be a fun side activity in WoW.

You can punt a marmot in retail.
I won’t tell D.E.H.T.A.

Why the hell do we have Incubus on Classic Era now? Sigh. More Retail content to Era.

For the regular forum posters/readers of WoW Classic General Discussion wondering why I’m starting new threads for each issue I’d like to see addressed with Classic Era, this is precisely why.

I had one of those threads with everything condensed into one thread, and as Despitebeing said, a moderator said to make a thread for each issue not have them consolidated into one.

One of them I created was called “Classic Era Bug Issues since 1.14”, and it was locked and deleted. I still have the old link bookmarked.

This passed week, multiple Blizz GM’s told me to come to THIS forum specifically (linking it to me in tickets) to post about the issues I was ticketing for them to get Dev attention since they (Blizz GM’s) could not resolve as they lacked the commands/controls to do so.

Some of the folks who posted about these issues, or those who have participated in previous threads, saw my new ones and have been reaching out to direct me to the old ones as well. Which I am also supporting.

I tried things before the ‘usual way’ and now I’m back following the direct recommendations of employees of the hosting company.

It was inevitable. After I got pushed away from WoW I went back to Warcraft III to experience Warcraft brand cheaply for years. But leading up to when Reforged was announced and even before it, after the years and the years and the years of a working product that remained the same
Things began to change. At first it was just little things. Warcraft III Patch 1.28 added an extra launcher app for no reason and moved around the location of game install keys so certain mods that relied on older game versions were no longer cross compatible with the latest version. We thought it was nothing

Then came Patch 1.29 which removed the Patch data from the game. As far as I can tell, by breaking the original design in this way they could later justify switching to the WoW content distribution system because they broke the data format so badly that future patches would have required redownloading the entire game. This same patch also began to move around game assets and files to what would ultimately be their Reforged locations. Naga structures in custom missions would be invisible until they completed because some guy felt it was his job to move around where these assets were stored in the data to a more “perfect” location to correspond to Reforged. That’s just one instance; it happened all over. The numeric index for the Hostile and Neutral creep units was changed from indices 12 and 15 now to be the indices 24 and 27 to accomodate cross support with Reforged which was going to have up to 24 human players instead of 12. This meant any custom mission with Hostile and Neutral units hardcoded to their numeric values (as was somewhat common) all got broken. We thought it was fine. You can just tell people to change custom content to refer to a variable to be “more correct” and then things would go back to working properly
 for the time being.

By the time I saw the Reforged announcement on Blizzcon 2018 stage, I had already published a YouTube video for people I knew online called “Please Save Warcraft III.” I didn’t know about Reforged but I didn’t want to lose the technology that I enjoyed so thoroughly. Time it seems, would appear to tell me I couldn’t have been more right. Reforged announcement was
different. I was excited because until that moment, all of the new Warcraft 3 patches that had been coming out for “some reason” were slowly breaking the game. Not breaking everything, per se, but they were redefining the technology with the authority of Blizzard but without the motivation to preserve what I saw as fun technologically . Was it just a personal problem for me?

So after that I realized they must have a second team working on Warcraft III capable of creating Reforged (since the new team making patches to that point obviously was not), and because of that I was very excited. I preordered Reforged over 50 times because I wanted to support them, and I assumed based on how WoW made me feel that we can only communicate with this company via money.

But then in the summer of 2019 they released “the last patch before Reforged.” Contrary to what was on the PTR, when the patch actually released it updated the live map editor so that any map that was modified on this version with more than 1000 custom text strings in the file would be irrevocably written over by meaningless garbage data, destroying your map unless you had a backup.

But before that I had a realization and I knew what to do. It was time for me to learn 3D game programming. So, I went to one of the modding sites and copied their Warcraft model viewer into a desktop game environment, and then began to add the rules of Warcraft III based on what we see in the strategy guides into my program code. At first
it was just a joke. But as 2019 wore on, and Reforged was delayed, I started to want the joke to become real
More, and more, and more! Free yourself from this company and create a computer system that can play the game you had in your youth forever, without offering anyone the chance to take it away!

This liberation has been the most fulfilling dream. Why do you ask them to avoid deteriorating your game? It is inevitable. By wanting exact technology data structures you are asking for something too expensive for them to provide. It’s like Uther once said: “Snap out of it! Blizzard is merely a present within the Lich King’s mind: A dwindling presence. You cannot reason with him!”

In my world, I play my rewrite of the game in a contained system that has no relationship to and nothing to do with this company. It never breaks in a patch unless I break it. Nor does it take away my progress until I complete the achievement for the new expansion. I don’t use Blizzard programs/technology for it so it’s not illegal or anything. I am genuinely free.

You should free yourself too.
