So uhhh, it’s kind of clear to me that most people in these forums enjoy their conspiracy theories about Blizzard and Classic one way or the other.

What’s the craziest one you’ve heard?

Any that’ve actually played out to be true?

But I like where this is going, the disconnect someone so convinced in their ways makes to go from “Blizzard doesn’t ban bots” to “Blizzard controls the bots” when confronted with proof their first theory isn’t true.

The majority of the original team that made World of Warcraft were all fired by the time the original Naxxramas was released (this was confirmed in an interview with Mark Kern).

The original team were such insane workers and so ahead of schedule that they had almost finished beta versions of TBC and WOTLK ready to go not long after original vanilla was released, however this ended up leading to their downfall as blizzard ended up making them redundant, keeping all the digital asset, and hiring fresh developers that would have absolute allegiance to studio heads.

The reason the game went to after WOTLK is because the new developers could no longer rely on the blueprints left behind by the original crew for content, this is why there have been no innovation since and every boss is a reboot of old material.

The first piece of code that could be connected to WoW dated back to 1997, data was found going back to version 1.12 - and even earlier.

What makes you think they have anything earlier than TBC in regards to something substantial enough to recreate the whole game?

We literally have items as far back as launch that had to be redone due to TBC values - most people still believe that the fizzle effect added in TBC is effecting things like Nightfall and Annihilator to give them inaccurate proc rates.

Maelstrom Trinket doesn’t even behave how it did in Vanilla, I don’t even know if someone’s taken the time to test Tidal Charm to see if it has the same issues.

Skull of Impending Doom had TBC behavior and was reverted to Vanilla behavior.

List goes on and on and on, I think it’s a good indicator that they simply don’t have the data you think they do.

Your evidence is based on a developer who may be being misunderstood due to his enthusiasm over the project.

All evidence that’s actually happening in game says otherwise, no?
