i really don’t care one way or the other. unlike some in this thread , i just started fresh, moved on, but i did want to get some background from some post to see if it could even be done ?, no worries :-).
There wasn’t much money to be made then, but clearly there is a demand for it now.

Actually I do, Blizzard said the data is gone forever and that means it can’t come back. And it’s nothing like classic coming back.
If it could come back Blizzard would bring it back to make money from it, they would do that today if they could.
Sorry, but it’s gone forever, you need to accept it and move on.
Tell yourself whatever you need to if it helps you get through the day. Take it as personally as you like as well if it somehow makes you feel better about the futility of your plight. Im not gonna lose any sleep over it.
We’re not opposed to the idea of classic characters being reverted to Classic Era. We are opposed to so many forum posts about it. From everything Blizzard has said, there is zero percent chance of this happening.

You’re gonna keep getting them. I stopped playing two years ago before they announced how burning crusade was going to be done. Despite people saying that we were all informed for 14 months, I definitely was not informed. Leveling a character is one thing but no way in hell do I want to farm rep again for professions and epic mount gold. I would pay to get my 2 60s who have no expansion items back to classic which I never intended to leave.

I have a friend (I was trying to force him to come back and play Era with me) that log in to find his toon was moved to wrath. Even though he swears he kept him in Era. Even saying he log into era to buy edgemasters while they were cheap.
Blizzard isnt helping him neither. lol

Yep, I opened up Classic Era, it showed 1 in the slot for available characters… when I clicked the realm… nothing was there.

So the data being “Permanently deleted”, ie gone forever isn’t enough for you? They cannot copy it back from Wrath either.
