You even say it even here
If you read my original post, I was simply commenting on the data being deleted, not that blizzard isnât willing to do it.
I just want to be clear you are posting misinformation by saying the data is deleted. Thats it and thats all.
Thank you moo. Now we can have an actual discussion about clones without fake news being posted
You have a quote that says no we canât do it anymore (one check for the no clones people) and a screenshot of a character select screen with no date or anything on the actual screenshot my dude
If you are curious to do more research. In that same discord(vanilla classic era) you can find others besides Cloudbells discussing the clone re-reappearing briefly in december 2022. It wasnât just him. Just search by date
Just like you donât want to post screenshots I donât wanna dig through old disc messages. You can post them here and Iâll look if youâre that passionate about it.
To be honest you argue like you use twitter so I donât care to help you out anymore haha. Proof is posted above for anybody curious about clones and whether the data still exists or not.
Nice ad hominem dude really making your case
Not sure if that proves the data still exists.
For all we know Blizzard was holding on to them for a certain period of time before deleting and when they finally did thay caused them to show on the character select screen for a while.
I feel like itâs like a picture or tweet thatâs been deleted. If you loaded it before it was deleted you can see it but as soon as you refresh pageâŚitâs gone.
But I donât know computers at all so I really donât know anything.
But who knows. Maybe theyâll find a copy of the clones in my sisters cousins friends old familes home basement like they did with the orginal Vanilla patch data.
Now that classic is popular again everyone cares.
Itâs not against the rules though, otherwise I would have been banned for linking this on many occasions.
https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/news/23783592/the-wow-burning-crusade-classic-character-clone-service-is-retiring-soon
So you know, you could protect your inactive clones by deleting them, then after the service was gone, restore them, thatâs how that image was done. For some reason they didnât delete the clones if they were already deleted by the player.
Notice only one clone is in the picture, a level 60. btw I have seen that picture before and it is not proof.
thats what they said about the vanilla server data, and well, that turned out to be a lie. Blizzard doesnât have the best track record of being honest so i wouldnât doubt the âdata is goneâ is actually true.
I could 100% see myself on your team if you could stop, for one minute, from claiming that your character was âdeletedâ
But you canât be honest, can you?
its not on vanilla so its basically deleted. I refuse to play it on wrath or to play wrath and I never opted to have them moved to wrath. so what are they then if not deleted from Vanilla Classic?
Permanently retired.
Rejoice, for you will always have the memories.
It isnât deleted at all. Again, can you stop being dishonest and admit that your character wasnât deleted?
Assuming that you truly never logged onto your character since before the TBC prepatch until last week (which I highly doubt is true) then yes, Blizzardâs decision to default your character into WOTLK rather than Era is perhaps questionable, but they did not delete your character, and your claims to the contrary are a lie.
âclone isnt technically feasible anymoreâ and âlikely will not be an optionâ is proof clone data is just sitting around waiting to be reimplemented?
Is not technically feasible could mean its strictly tied to TBC and since TBC is gone so is cloning orâŚthe data is gone.
Thatâs just Blizzard trying to be nice, what they want to say is âItâs never coming back so stop askingâ, and no, itâs nothing like bringing classic back in 2019.
How many times do we have to say âPERMANENTLY DELETEDâ
where is my character then? its not on when i log on to my server i played in vanillaâŚthey are not there
