I can’t wait for people to get in there, and then realize all of the quality of life stuff they have to give up for nostalgia.

where do you get that idea?
If anything, its gone over to endgame final boss raiders. Blizzard is even removing long-standing items, zones and quests, just to please that 0.01%
No where did I ever say you can’t have fun.

Yep. I’m predicting I’ll log on, play for a few hours, log out, and never play it again, but I hope I’m wrong.
I can’t wait for the newcomers! They’ll be yowling the loudest lol.
ok sersiusly ‘going without’ or ‘eoughing it’ is a common practice amonst us talking monkeys. Ever wondered why so many peoples do old-time re-enactments? As one of those, i’ll tell you…
- Its fun.
- you get to understand what your forebears went through.
- it gets you away from it all; a kind of ‘vacation from the present’.
- when you come home, from a weekend or week of SCA or Civil War or whatever, you are SO MICH MORE appreciated of what the modern world has to give.
Electric lightxz, hot showers…rapture after several days of ‘communing with nature’ or whatever
This was the single most cringiest forum comment I’ve ever witnessed. I need a break from these forums

I’m excited to see the qqstorm on the forums as people realize how much they miss most of the QoL changes Blizzard has made over the years, and how the version of classic isn’t what they remembered it to be.

Then whats your point?
Line ater line of ‘you wont be able’ and ‘oh the mystery’ and knowing this and cant do that’.
whats a simple SWedisah elf to think?
Remember when all the bitter, salty people on GD said Classic would never happen?
Remember when these same people said retail was the only relevant WoW?
It’s pretty funny how Classic is the only thing people are excited about now in terms of WoW content, while most people couldn’t care less about BfA. I’m amused yet sad at the same time.

To each thier own. I dont want to farm soul shards and go through totem questing. Plus pallies >>>>>> shammies for pve raiding. (In vanilla)

I am 100% aware of the QoL drawbacks
And I still find myself excited for this. I think I’ll find plenty of enjoyment in it.

Like I already said, I know from personal experience that the analysis you made isnt the case for me personally. If it isnt for you then thats cool, but these generalizations arent accurate because the whole experience is personal and subjective. Its based on the individual.

because top ten lists where people are hyped about money grabbing korean MMOs with no story, no rpg elements, bad combat, endless unfulfilling grinds, no endgame, etc are representative of good mmos.

BC, actually!
My points are that it will be fun to finally complete the gircle, to see how well Blizzard does it(crossed fingers!) and, finally, to really really just go for ir, all basic.
Besides, who knows what we REALLY remember, and how well?
The beta option is on my launcher, not that I’m even going to use it. Although, I may download it, and test, and report just so I can hopefully get the next expansion beta. This is my third time that I had gotten a beta selection.

That doesn’t change the fact that wow classic isn’t even in the top ten of most lists I could find. Saying that this will be the biggest mmo of the year is a stretch. Just because your hyped doesn’t mean the entire world is.
current WOW is an adventure game. not an MMO RPG. you have like 5 spells now.
