Classic Anniversary New Account Restrictions

I just don’t understand how a GM lets me know that the restrictions have been lifted, which they were for a week, and then now randomly, they are back.

People are forgetting that they were LIFTED but are now back.

I understand that they are not developers, but shouldn’t a GAME MASTER have the most up to date knowledge on policies?

Either way, it’s insanely ridiculous to see Blizzard flip-flopping on this policy with zero communication regarding it.

All we can tell is that something buggy happened.

Either you did have game time previously, in which case you shouldn’t be restricted at all, or you didn’t in which case you shouldn’t have had them lifted at all yet.

I’d encourage you to read the response from the GM I posted fully and then respond accordingly.

According to that post, under no circumstance should I have these restrictions on my account again.

" Our developers decided to turn of the restrictions for now after all the feedback we received from you and other players.

The might return in the future (this would not affect you, if you have or buy gametime now) but will affect other players if they should start a new account or return in the future, should the restrictions be turned on again)."

Well, Ive had gametime since November. So according to the GM, I am good to go!

What I think happened, is that they turned the restrictions back on, with the 26 day parameter it had before the restrictions took a week or so off.

Since you do not yet meet the 26 day parameter, you got caught up in them getting turned back on, and will have your access to buying on the AH and trading restored on December 17th.

If you’ve re-opened your ticket, wait for a reply there to confirm.
