Should do more damage than classes that don’t (instant or uninterruptable damage).
Likewise, melee classes that have weak mobility should do more damage than classes that have near 100% uptime.
Change my mind.

sure but this doesnt apply to anyone right now. Just marksman and destro that still cast, but they cant get theirs off kind of consistently nowadays (at the cost of doing less damage tho, back in the day 2 chaos bolts was bye bye, but now you’ll just be mostly dead)
like, who doesn’t actually have mobility? Even DKs aren’t that bad and they have grip. I guess ret is kinda meh but they also have a big range
to go back to this design we would have to change a lot, which would conflict with PVE design. Probably.
Demo is probably an example of a caster that needs to cast to do damage and doesnt do a bajillion damage like other castesr when freecasting but honestly I have no idea how to gauge demo, they’re a fustercluck. Perhaps takeaway is buff demo?

Agreed give rogues back shadowy duel
Hi, I’m Doors.
I like this guy. MM is so much easier/better rn. Faster unkickable casts that actually kill people.
Hi Doors, I’m kingston, your trustworthy SSD brand
since im casting many reps and glares, can I get a damage buff pls?
only there are no melees with low uptime
the wheelchair ones simply do damage from range
melee uptime is not tied to mobility anymore, its tied to the amount of CC at their disposal, immunities and CC removers
e.g a fury warrior can glue themselves to a warlock indefinitely
or an assa rogue, even if it had half its current mobility, would still have 0 uptime issues, because everybody is silenced and slowed by 90% or stunned
What i’m trying to say is, some classes have more mobility in general, the more mobility you have the less damage you should theoretically be able to do. Just because it’s easy to have uptime on a priest doen’t mean it’s the same thing against a mage for example.
Same case for the caster that spews instants for most of their rotation.
It’s just bad class design when all outcomes are equal regardless of difficulty, forces the meta to revolve around ease of outcome which shifts to fotm. Hard concept to explain it seems.
