Class Tuning Incoming -- December 13

This change is so bad. It feels like Blizzard is completely clueless and has no idea what they are doing. Tanks are already lowest played role and it is so stressful to play a tank to begin with. Why make it worse for no valid reason? Scrap this change. Its is fine the way it is now.

bdk has never needed much healer attention. that’s their whole ‘thing’.

m0s are irrelevant. we’re concerned about what happens when keys open up on tuesday.

You mean like how mythic+ were done in beta and were a cake walk then?

by which specs? i promise there’s a big gap between vdh/protwar and brew

edit: also nobody cares about the +10 “thundering only” runs people were doing on beta

your opinion is based off of mythic 0… in actual mid/high end keys these nerfs are massive. Especially since blizz hasnt dealt with the tanks being one shot in high keys that plagued SL keys. PVP changes aside - the PVE nerfs won’t affect the average player in 2-9 keys. Tanks - except BrM - are still going to solo bosses and make you look bad.

For the rest of us, it’s just going to bring back the kiting meta a few key levels earlier and force meta comps on mid-high keys.

Warrior will be the meta pick.
VDH will be a high key meta pick.

Blood/Pally look to be strong in all tiers, falling off slightly as key level goes up

Not to sure about guardian yet - still getting the feel for it but there is still too much power tied up in incarn. Thinking it will have the same success as blood/pally

You won’t see BrM except for the dedicated few with the comp to back them up.

The tank nerf only serves to push BrM into obscurity and facilitate a meta that you will only see warriors and vengeance thrive in.

Very little thought was given to the pve nerfs

Yes,then and now,prove it. Where’s this video the devs were watching a tank solo in group content and survived while the other wiped.

That’s it? You’re not going to reduce Dark Pact by 50% or at least increase its cooldown so Warlocks are no longer raid bosses while it’s active? You’re not going to nerf Drain Life or Healthstones so they’re not outhealing Resto Druids while getting mobbed? You immediately did that to MY class on the grounds of being uncomfortable with my survivability when that is explicitly my class concept, but you’ll let a caster class remain a hybrid tank and do the same thing? Whilst keeping all the damage they do? And why did you nerf Brewmaster? It already lacks defensives as it is. Now nobody is going to play it.

This is the most ignorant set of development changes I’ve ever seen in this game.

Welp, no news for Arms war. Seems like we will be left in the dark for first season

I think everyone would love to see this.

I am sure there is video of that happening somewhere, but I havent looked for it. Its not something I would record… M0s arent too entertaining to stream. And its not like you can choose to record after the fact.

I was leveling my tanks in order based on the way they felt in prepatch; not necessarily strength wise just rotation/skill play. I expected some changes and balance to take place.

Currently:
Warrior (70), Paladin (70), Druid (60), DK (60), DH (60), Monk (60).

Monk was already bottom because bloated skills, weak survivability, lack of good passives in the tree IMO. Now I will probably respec WW. It needed more help than a buff, or rework the bloat.

All I know is that I want new talents given to me as a warlock due to the 50% reduction to my soul leach they’ve done in literally the course of a week.

New talent trees will be great they said. you’ll have player agency they said. Then they turn around and gut the entire system literally 2 weeks in. What a great feeling it is to have wasted points on talents because they decided to nerf them by 50% in a weeks time span.

Of all of the tanks, Brew does not need to take more damage to keep the healer busy…
Your reasoning is flawed in that aspect.

It’s starting to check out that you aren’t really aware of anything.

Here’s an idea… How about you BUFF bosses/dungeons and classes that underperform instead of gutting classes that are fun.

SO WHAT if a class is strong? It feels nice performing well, and personally I hate playing with the lingering thought in the back of my mind that I can get nerfed to the ground at any moment. Isn’t there an alpha and a beta to figure all this tuning crap out? Why are you making changes into the live game after people already pick their mains?

These last tank changes are absolutely unforgivable. I dabbled with brewmaster as an off spec but I definitely won’t be playing that now. Brm specifically needed to be buffed as it was so behind other tanks… Giving a nerf to tanks across the board just shows how little they know…

I seriously don’t understand this company… Just when you finally start going in the right direction after many years of wandering around aimlessly, you pull this crap and piss off a large chunk of your player base. I guess blizzard will be blizzard…

If you dont want to be “kept busy” by healing as healer. What DO you want to be doing? DPSing?

Please don’t go through with this change. Please.

At the very least, can you wait until after next week? Let the raid come out, let people do Mythic+, get data beyond M0 dungeons before making such a change.

Well, kinda yeah. Like, fistweaving or glimmering or atonement healing or just being evoker and existing for max damage lol.

The only specs that heal but do damage independent of healing are like, resto druid and resto shaman now, right?
