Class Tuning Incoming – October 29

That’s not how that works. Forum and in game suspensions are not intertwined

Lmao sure they did  :joy:

EXACTLY THIS.

I’m tired of the constant changes. At this point, I say if it’s broken let it stay broken for just long enough to find AND INTERNALLY TEST the correct fix so you are fixing things ONCE.

I was about three million percent done with the constant changes back and forth as of a week ago… and now here are more.

I have news for you now, if I were a happy player, I would be buying the brutosaur. Part of the reason that hasn’t happened is I’m really frustrated with WoW right now because of all this yanking talents back and forth. For love of anything you find holy, Blizzard, just STOP. I don’t even care if it’s broken or which way it’s broken… LEAVE IT until you have a TESTED AND WORKING solution!!

Sadly, these buffs were not enough to save me from getting benched on Mythic Silken Court, after the nerfs already caused me to get benched on Mythic Ky’veza.

Thanks, Blizzard, for unnecessarily nerfing my class ~8-9 times in a row. I’m sure the only reason I was even in on the Broodtwister re-kill was because our Prot Warrior plays BDK (for double) on that fight.

Why does warrior get completely obliterated by nerfs the moment RWF is over when DPS warrior performs well? You did it in HFC, Sanctum of Domination, Amirdrassil (you waited until S4 to punish us), and now in Nerub’ar Palace.

No offense,

But your logs show why you would be benched for those important bosses. Your numbers just arent there as ARMS or FURY. kyveza is a very tight dps check and your logs show you to be preforming subpar to meet that check. Warriors being slightly weaker is not a reason to be sat. as you still bring good utility and seems your guild has a prot war, so they already got the raid buff covered. we ran a dps warrior for our kyveza and he did just as good as everyone else.

I’m guessing whoever is making these decisions is confused, so I’m going to break down some things.

All of this is about a 5-6% nerf to Single Target damage. This is important to know before we get to the next part.

Stomp is 4-6% of my damage. Buffing it by 50% is 2-3% overall increase.

Multi-Shot is about 0.4% of my damage. Buffing it by 100% depends on how you’re buffing it. It was already buffed by 300% last week. Is another 100% going to be 400% or 600%? If we assume the best case scenario, this will be a 0.4% increase.

Best case, that is a 3.4% AoE increase while losing 5-6% priority damage, for an overall AoE nerf of 1.6-2.6%.

Explosive Venom will probably still not be chosen, but we’ll see.

The problem with Explosive Venom:

  • Procs off Explosive Shot and Multi-Shot. Explosive Shot has a 30 second cooldown and Multi-Shot is so weak it’s only used to trigger Beast Cleave.
  • The Serpent Sting it triggers does very little damage. About 1.6% of overall damage.
  • By the time you get enough casts to trigger Explosive Venom, the pack you’re fighting is already dead or nearly dead.
  • BM’s Mastery only buffs pet damage. It seems the Devs don’t realize these abilities (Explosive Shot, Serpent Sting, Multi-Shot) do significantly less damage for BM than MM.

In closing, trying to fix BM’s “lackluster aoe” with minor buffs to weak abilities that aren’t affected by our Mastery is not the way to go. If this is really how you want to do it, here is a good guideline…

  • Buff Stomp by 100%.
  • Buff Multi-Shot by 500%.
  • Make Explosive Venom trigger off EVERY Explosive Shot and Multi-Shot.
  • Since these still won’t be enough, buff Beast Cleave/Kill Cleave to 100%.

Upon further review, we have made the following updates to the class tuning coming tomorrow:

Classes

  • Shaman
    • Elemental
      • Echo Chamber now increases the damage of Elemental Overloads by 20% (was 40%).
      • Ascendance now increases the damage of Elemental Overloads by 100% while active (was 150%).

Player versus Player

  • Monk
    • Mistweaver
      • Rushing Wind Kick’s damage increase does not apply to PvP combat.
  • Paladin
    • Lightsmith: Divine Guidance now deals 60% less damage in PvP combat.
  • Rogue
    • Subtlety
      • Flagellation’s mastery bonus decreased by 50% in PvP combat.

The first post of this thread has been edited to reflect this.

Keep reviewing, because you said you wanted to nerf BM single target and buff their AoE, but you’re nerfing the AoE. Contradictory. Keep working.

But no additional review for the Hunter changes right? Because you guys don’t really care about player feedback.

Your failure is now on WoWHead for all to see (including you hopefully Blizz). Are you going to do anything about it?

I don’t know how many times you have to be told this, to buff BM AoE you need to move the tuning on Beast Cleave and Kill Cleave.

Also, leave Frenzied Tear’s proc chance alone.

Still waiting on Brewmaster tuning for keys…

  • Celestial brew to act as Ignore pain with higher shield value
  • Orb spawn rates cranked up drastically.
  • Expel Harm rework - all orb overhealing apply as a HoT or as an absorb shied at 75% value
  • Keg smash effect radius increased
  • Magic damage stagger increased.
  • Charred Passions interaction with spinny fidget damage increased.

Tuning wise, Brewmaster is in a much dire need of tuning.
Bears, however, are the MOST BORING TANK CLASS THERE IS. At least Shadowlands bear was a lbit more fun due to covenant abilieis picks. But gawddaym you guys are in desperate need of an entire rework. It’s like the dullest gameplay ever.

(P.S. I speak entirely from M+ angle)

Guardian druids have not had any meaningful updates to their spec talent tree in over 440 days.

The top M+ pushing Guardian dropped it to play Prot Paladin, as are others. Prot Paladin can easily get 50%+ parry now, have good cd cycling, and do insane damage. Honestly don’t know why any competitive player would pick Guardian Druid anymore. Their ability to do a few bigger pulls is easily offset by how little AoE damage they are doing.

Offense taken. I couldn’t prioritize Arms gearing (especially given how abysmal my luck with M+ drops were for the first few weeks).

Also, DPS warriors bring good utility? My brother in Christ, I want the drugs you are smoking. I had limp through the Broodtwister rekill at our most nerfed, with Unhinged still bugged. -400k overall in a faster kill with a set skip.

Can you please consider reverting this change:

Because it is targeting non-Lightsmith-Avenging Crusader builds which are already weaker since the 11.0.5 changes and this just widens the gap. Herald-Avenging Wrath builds were already consuming a lot more mana, but now this makes it even worse.

Kind of sad that the devs 100% saw the posts here and just ignored it. For hunter at least.

That’s it? No looking at the way you’re reducing MWing from performing with the other healers? (Except druid and priests since they’re mostly dead which is fine). How about the odd hunter changes? Glad I don’t play one of those anymore. So do you guys like, play the game at all at the content the rest of us are? Or you just throw out random 5/10/15/20% numbers and call it a day?

Should consider buffing Affliction warlock more… Was the lowest performing spec in the game and got buffed the least…

Guardian has been a snooze since MoP, I think.

I wanted to swap to BrM when my group wanted to change things up for m+ but the absolute tediousness of managing stagger is unfun. While a nice thought mechanic on paper, they can’t balance it. Just as they can’t seem to balance ignore pain so I’ve decided to stick with dps healers to get through content and my achieves. And then I nope out for the rest of the season.

Hello Kaivax. It seems we forgot to address that Dark Ranger MM is currently doing noticeably less damage in ST than it was before the update! Why is Black Arrow being nerfed when it was overperforming due to bugs? Please address this concern, thanks!

Sadly I don’t think they even noticed that the reason that it was overperforming was the bug.
