Do not push these destro nerfs until season 4 begins, pushing a change like this near the end of a season will not be healthy for people pushing the top end of keys.
Feeling this hard. Most meaningful change they could make for Affliction would be to address the poor performance of the tier set. Just make the DoT timer increase affect all DoT effects and they would not need to push all these flat damage increases. Such a shame
As a feral druid who does high keys, I have been keeping up with the title cutoff for the past few months now and honestly, I’m starting to lose interest at this point. You work so so hard for something and it seems like you get nothing in return. Timing a key doesn’t even feel rewarding at this point, it just feels numb. It’s sad to see the meta classes able to sit there and pug 26-28s with no problem at all, but yet I feel capped out at around a 24-25.
I have been waiting months for class tuning, in hopes they would finally acknowledge the classes that needed it the most, just like the ones you listed. Instead, we get tank ST buffs, and a Destro nerf. Don’t worry though, Destro ST was buffed to compensate! It’s extremely, extremely disappointing
I wish I could. I’ve hit a cap of a 12-14 and that is a struggle as a feral at 266. (Not because of dmg, because of players refusing to accept ferals period).
In what way? The interaction with Rain of Chaos was clearly the biggest issue with Destro.
The 4pc proc being able to trigger RoC for more free Infernals gave them more Soul Shards to funnel into more RoF to generate more Infernals, which did more AoE damage on impact and uncapped from Immolation aura, and every 4 RoF gave another 4pc proc to continje the cycle.
Same, was in the top 5-10 io for Feral at one point this season but as soon as I started doing around 25-26s~ with destros/survivals/wws etc of similar skill level I felt I had to escort myself to the exit feeling like a burden. Haven’t bothered to M+ for weeks now as the games just not fun when you are so far behind.
Yes, let’s nerf mage mobility even more, I think melee does not have enough means to catch up and kill mages. Also, 100 to 0 in 5 seconds is too much survivability, 2 seconds kill will be much more coherent.
The best way I can describe playing feral druid is “humiliating” like you said. You feel like a kid that’s too short to ride a rollercoaster.
The amount of comments I get daily for being a feral druid in keys is so draining. It’s always:
“why would I ever invite a feral to a key?”
“wow, you’re the only feral i’ve played with this whole tier for keys!”
“next time, put feral in your note so you won’t get kicked next time”
“oh you’re feral?” leaves group
Or, the classic; around 40% of the time when I join groups, I get insta kicked.
The fact that I feel like I’m the problem if we don’t time a key (even if it’s not my fault) is disgusting. I shouldn’t have to log onto the game and feel ashamed for playing the class and spec that I love and have been maining for 7+ years, just because we got the short end of the stick.
I’m sure other people who play feral and other non-meta classes feel the same about this.
Wanted to mention that I love seeing the reasoning behind the pvp changes. Please keep doing this Blizzard! Also taking a look at the sepsis/vendetta/vanish one-shot combo a lot of rogues are using at sub 2.1k mmr would go a long way toward making arenas less soul-sucking for people trying to gear up alts or even get started with pvp.
