these buffs are a stupid excuse to not dress the actually problems with hunters i feel like. for example the pet rez, and pet dying even if u look at them etc
That’s a tall task because the entire Hunter class needs a fundamental rework. Until they address the dissonance between MM Hunters supposed to survive through “Kiting” and having their damage tied to a 2.5 second hard cast, the spec will flipflop between overtuned and bad based on how high/low they crank the numbers.
people already think they shouldn’t feel an attack you have to hard cast for 2.4 seconds that is already mitigated because its PHYSICAL damage. Meanwhile Balance(d) druids are surging people for 20k+ insta cast but here’s the catch. They also have damage outside of starsurge and its magic damage so plate wearers can actually feel it.
Yeah. It’s a weird design space to be in. Hunters are supposed to be the “kiting” class, so everyone expects to just kill them instantly in any heads up fight.
But they don’t want to give Hunters the damage or abilities that would allow Hunters to actually do the whole “kiting” schtick because it “feels unfair” to die to someone without getting any chance to fight them. It’s a similar space to Rogues in that the class just ends up getting a lot of hate because of how they’re designed.
