Class Trial locked without warning

Hi there.

Since old Trials were recently unlocked, I decided to log onto a Zandalari Rogue on my second account that was holding onto heirlooms; I was going to send the heirlooms to my bank alt.

I shortly forgot what I was logging on to check for.
In my absentmindedness, I logged out.
To my surprise…

The character now says “Class Trial Completed” and the character is locked unless I use a boost. 0 warnings given that this was going to happen.

Is there any way to transfer the contents of the character’s bags, or give me access for an hour or so? I admit this is my mistake, but I do not have the money to pay for a character boost… especially not on a character I did not want to keep.

Help is appreciated, please and thank you.

(From what I just tested, it seems the Trial only lasts for 30 minutes now? Which would be the issue.)

There is no way to accomplish this on the forums, as there are no game masters here. You’d need to open a ticket in game to make this request from the actual GM team.

Oh, well I feel a bit foolish. Thank you for the response, regardless.

No need to. :relaxed:

There are blues here on the forums that can sometimes offer assistance if they’re around, have some spare time, and it’s an issue they can actually help with (since they’re not officially game masters), but it’s best to open a ticket in the meantime. Good luck!

Why not on ur bank toon just open the heirloom tab and create them.

They are enchanted heirlooms, and also hold sentimental value since they don’t have “created by” on them.

You can ask but ussualy if they do award game time its to retrieve mail for tokens considering its for heirlooms mite be iffy at best keep in mind tickets are averaging 4 days.

Class trials are three hours.

Class trial characters are playable for three hours. Once the timer runs out, or you select a zone from the Scouting Map in Battle for Azeroth, your character is locked from further play. The only way to access that character after this point is to purchase and use a Character Boost to permanently unlock your trial character.

To unlock a boosted character, you need to purchase a new character boost from the World of Warcraft in-game shop. After your purchase is complete, click the lock next to your character to apply the boost and this will automatically unlock it.

Customer Support does not transfer gold or items from a locked class trial character.

See Class Trial for further information about how the class trial system works.

Bolded for emphasis and visibility. It never hurts to ask, but temper your expectations.

I literally typed in /played when I logged onto the character; it was at 33 minutes /played.
Either they changed it and did not updated the article, or this is a bug of some sort.

Ack. I suppose I shall hope for the best.

Or it is three hours from the moment it is created, not played time. If you create a trial character at 1:00pm and play it for 5 minutes before logging out, then return at 4:01pm, that character will be locked, despite having only 5 minutes of /played time.

I made the character before the Shadowlands pre-patch dropped. So perhaps they changed their policy… but I’d think it would have been locked sooner if it was “total” rather than /played.
