Class stacking

How do you make it unviable without downright banning it?

Tired of queueing into the worst locks I’ve ever seen running demo aff, not setting up a proper go, and running amp curse sacrolash lego because my healer doesn’t like rdruid

Double shaman also feels just as miserable but probably doesn’t see the same success into melee

It’s probably a hallmark of ‘this needs tuned’ when people can just throw together OP things with no real synergy and be competitive.

Hey man, i read these

Was in regards to my queues last night

Idrc about double aff I don’t think the comp is good but demo aff feels absolutely awful to play against

Somehow they managed to throw both games anyway

depending on what you run, just have to get ontop of the demo and his port. win in the first 1-2 goes or slowly lose over 5-10 minutes

Just ban class stacking? Having a hard time thinking of what good it serves other than letting people abuse it for cheesy wins and toxic gameplay.

Pls it’s the only way me and my boomer lock buddy can function.

Well, there’s the overtuned spec thing that I think is usually a notable contributor, but there’s also tweaking specific mechanics like windwalker/mistweaver or double windwalker double ringing somebody into a corner for a third of the mathc.

I mean, I’m for it. It’s just unfortunate when you play a dps and the best healer in the meta is your other spec.

Usually said dps has a better healer tho

Example: late BfA s4 hpalla was the best healer in the game, but rets best healer was likely rsham

I think that it’s needlessly inhibitive, especially in the case of same healer/dps. Like, MAYBE prevent duplicates of the same spec from queuing together, but even then I feel like they usually have better comp options and people mostly just get frustrated with queuing into something weird.

Was wondering if there were good ways to deincentivize it I don’t think it will every be outright banned

Probably as kennie said, adjusting some interactions might help, doesn’t work in every situation tho

Still can’t understand the demo ms buff

Versatility bonus for queueing with different classes?

Just ban it the same way double healer was banned. Its awful for the game.

Yeah if not banned this could be on the right track

Similar to whatever that buff was for queueing random dungeons without a premade that increased damage by some amount

Might assist with other stacked comps I’m now getting ptsd over like double outlaw

If you got a 5% versatility bonus for each unique class in the group, for example. So…

RMP (sorry, but it’s true…) gets 15% vers bonus

Fury enh RSham gets 5% because they lose 5% + 5% from neither shaman being a unique class.

In 2’s boomkin Resto would get 0% where windwalker disc would get 10%

It’s a starting point.

The nerf that lower tier comps not only needed but deserved.

This has been WoW arena 101 from day 1. It’s just more obvious now that people only have 4 buttons.

I think we can see in overwatch that comp limitations are a weak answer to this kind of problem and blizzard cannot be trusted to do the actual balancing work to reel back on op garbage like demo especially if they don’t have a pressing reason like getting double lock out of the arena

You can’t without seriously harming PVE. because the only realistic way to do it would be that a duplicate debuff can’t be on the same target, and even then that only stops duplicate specs.
