Weird issue I suddenly started having about a week back.
My city/local/trade chats are all missing and completely unusable, but only for my Horde character. My main is a belf in shadowlands, and I can’t access any of the chats on him.
Whenever I try /join 1, the chat marker says [1. xtensionxtooltip2] and the messages go nowhere. I also can’t see any messages from these chats, but I can see when people use say/whisper/party chat messages.
I’ve already tried to see if the problem was my addons, and disabling them did nothing. I also tried /resetchat which did not help either.
What’s wrong with my chat?
Have you done a full UI reset (as detailed in Support article linked below) to rule out a misbehaving addon or corrupted UI?
I’m afraid not. Now I’m not even getting the xtensiontooltip2 chat, just nothing at all.
After performing the Full UI reset (linked above) type this into chat while in a city:
/chatlist
Then post what it shows.
It shows nothing at all. I had set my UI back and tried it, and it showed [1. xtensionxtooltip2], but when I reset my UI again, it showed nothing.
While the UI reset is active, what happens when you attempt to join a chat channel?
Such as /join General or /join Trade

Okay somehow that worked LOL I always use /join 1 to join channels but for some reason, that didn’t work but /join general did. Thank you so much!
