"Chosen Identity" and not being able to stay in Human Form

Dudes just a Stan for whoever designed Drakthyr. No merit to their opinion whatsoever. You could make a list for the most extensive visual changes and OPTIONS for the race and they’d complain.

I did, don’t worry about it.

No one is petitioning to have that option removed from you, ya know. You can still have your dragon form, and we can have our visage form. Win/win.

Stop trying to police other’s fun so hard - especially when it doesn’t affect you. There’s very bad energy with that mentality.

It does affect anyone that plays the class.

Would be like if there were another class called totally not druid, and just have the same specs, but for anyone unwilling to deal with the nature/animal motifs.

Letting players choose their own cosmetics doesn’t really make for a satisfying game.

I’ve been a druid main my entire wow career and would love to play a version where I can see my armor and have different animations outside animal form for once lol.

In what world is that even true? How did you come to this conclusion? Literally some of the most popular games (i.e. fortnite) are so successful in part because there are so many unique cosmetics that allow people to individualize their experience, all while the gameplay remains the same.

Even customization has limits, pretty sure?

Can’t use recolor everything with RGB.

Visageform always existed and it does make sense that they added it. The only thing i was wondering about is only 2 racial forms( female human and male bloodelf) are available, when in lore dragons get to chose their desired humanoid race.

I believe their reasoning is that Dracthyr aren’t true dragons and therefore can’t cloak themselves as mortal races like dragons can

Wrathion/Ebonhorn speculated it was perhaps for a different purpose, and Cindrethresh mentioned that Neltharion had intended to train them with it.

But that never got expanded upon and likely never will.

For technical purposes and not lore purposes. They clearly wanted to put in a lot of work into making the visage very customizable to match the dragon form, but didn’t have the manpower to do that for every single player model in the game.

So they picked two, which happen to belong to the two most popular player races in the game (human and belf) and went with that. TBH, while i like the male belf model i almost wish they’d just made a new model for it. They haven’t made an actual new player model since Kul Tirans. Even the dragon form is a heavily modified fem worgen base. You can see it in the animations.

I don’t mind being forced to change to Dracthyr form for combat.

However, I do hate how it works with Hover. I have no problem with Hover forcing me into dracthyr form. But when hover expires I shouldn’t have to manually activate visage every time. It’s very irritating. Especially if I use Hover to zip around town.

Blizzard should adjust chosen visage to make it so you automatically swap to visage form any time you would be able to manually cast visage and when Hover isn’t active.

I agree and it’s very frustrating

as someone whos played a druid for roughly 17 years but started back in vanilla and was at the opening of the gates of aq i would love it. pre transmog it would have been fun to walk around looking as goofy as everyone else and then post xmog some times i just want to show off my transmog. im apparently on the short list of druids from my experience that can use toys to change shape and not get triped up and still play like nothing changed so i would totally have 1 of those to. the problem with your argument is druids a class and not a race.

they could do what ive been saying they can do for the remaining classes that arent on every race and do the work slowly and release it in batches. depending on the work they could do 1 a patch or like 3 a xpac and either release it with patches or with each new xpac release a couple.

Chosen Identity only applies to the identity that the developers have chosen for you.

Stay in human form and do all those Evoker animations like Deep breath and Disintegrate? That would look ridiculous.

If you don’t want to look like a dragon, don’t play the dragon class. There’s a lot of other spell casters to choose from. If your friend doesn’t want to play an Evoker because of how the Dracthyr look, then your friend is dumb.

This should be an option for evoker, and the race in general needs significantly more transmog and customization options.

If they can’t be assed to give their draconic forms full armor sets then I agree that they should just let people use the humanoid form fully for combat.

2 pieces visible out of the entire set is an absolute joke.
