Chose your old god

I recently found myself in a role-play scenario with other shadow priests and I’ve noticed… they all have dedicated old gods they serve.
So my question to you shadow priests…
What old god would you serve?
Why do you serve that one over the others?
How do you pray to these ancient beings?

For those who don’t dedicate themselves to the dark arts… if you had to chose a naru to serve which would you serve?

Xal’atath?

hey that works too =D
expand on it tho. how do ou serve xal’atath? Why do you serve her over the others? How do you pray to this ancient eldritch horror?

I don’t care for the naaru. I’m holy only for the healing style otherwise I would be discipline … I would chose either Y’shaarj or N’Zoth. Leaning more towards N’Zoth these days. I’m a sucker for a soothing voice. N’Zoth also has a talent for making someone a person feel like they are “special” or wanted by him, even if it is a lie. And corruption power? Yes, please.

Forget serving. More like appeasing. Azshara had the right idea and opportunity to make a deal to become N’Zoth’s equal … or nearly equal.

Elune. Best god.

You worship her by staying up late, also naked dancing.

She also loves tiki drinks, and listening to 80’s goth music (Siouxsie, Bauhaus, The Cure).

N’zoth. Lord of the seas, Giver of knowledge, offers prophecy and wisdom even to his enemies. I love all things nautical, and I love how he shares knowledge so freely, even as you’re beating his face in. The spirit of generosity.

I get this feeling that he is low key preparing himself and Xal’atath to become a heroic presence down the road. It just seems like his Ny’alotha Rising plot was just far too easily undone. Like his death was deliberate. If you follow C’Thraxxi lore, death is even less permanent for the Void’s champions than it is for demons.

Lets keep it PG plz.

did i say something wrong ? o.O

Honestly, I feel like it’d be amazing if we could choose our patrons in WoW.

“What am I a priest of” would be a really cool player agency. The light seems to be the main generic power, but there are so many providers of that power. Elune, the Naaru, the Titans, etc… I think it’d be a really cool thing in game to attune to a Patron.

In D&D I was always a fan of the trickster domain. In WoW I am Trashmaster Shieldbaby, the servant of Jani.

I’m no shadow priest (I have one and love it but haven’t really decided which old god) but if I had to choose one for my affliction warlock after she turned her back on Sargeras I would choose Yogg. I figured I’d comment because affliction and shadow are basically cousins lol

Salzman from Accounting.

Probably N’Zoth or C’Thun.

I got a thing for giant eyes and soothing voices

Imagine how awesome C’Thun would look if he were remade by today’s standards :weary:

C’thun is soooo hot.:pleading_face::flushed:

I don’t serve any old gods. Like warlock heroes I use the enemy’s weapon against it. My will is stronger than the whispers.
I’m low key trying to become an old god myself. Lol

Absolutely remove Void Form, but…

If I had to choose an old god, I’d definitely choose C’Thun. I have fond memories of raiding AQ and C’Thun was probably the most crazy boss to fight back in the day (except old Naxx 40 - that was truly insane). C’thun’s eye beam could chain-kill the entire raid if you weren’t careful

I really liked when priests have “priest racials” basically spells in the image of their deity. Back in the day they were race specific but could you imagine if they were deity specific? Being a vulpera worshiping Elune and have starfall and elune’s grace. Man, I miss those days.

I serve no olg god, only dedicated to the study of the origin of the universe. Their power is a trap toward facility and them having more knowledge of your action to better predict the actual multiple truth.
