If what a player need to do well in a dungeon and what you ask is vastly different, then yes, its gatekeeping.

General access. A single group of players declining someone is not restricting general access.
So no a minimum standard set by individuals is not gatekeeping.
For you to be correct there would have to be a collective of people actively agreeing on the set standard and this group would have to be so large as to effect nearly all players.
Since anyone can make thier own group and find like minded people to run… Its not gatekeeping.

if you wanna be a jerk and exclude people from this content based on gear then do it with other jerks like your self who think your gear makes you somehow better then someone else. if you are in a sunwell raiding guild why are you even in LFG.

Its clear based on the arguments from the RDF crowd, its the toxic players and scammers up in arms.
After a week of no actual real problems specific to the minor differences between RDF and LFG…weve invented a new non-problem…Gatekeeping! aka i didnt want to group with you, and that is now a bad thing?
No, RDF system doesnt have consent. LFG has consent. Lets break the patriarchy and stick with LFG where CONSENT is had.

Again. Nothing is wrong with hand picking your group. Please make your nexus group require full sunwell BiS gear, consumes, etc.
The problem is asking for rdf to be removed because you’re worried it will be too hard to hand pick your groups.
You guys got the option for people to get easy groups removed to ensure that you could easily continue to gatekeep your groups. Because if they added rdf, a lot of geared players wouldn’t have cared about making their own groups and just used rdf.
You can still handpick your groups if rdf was added.

I dont want to run with a group that is demanding something from me that I dont have, or cannot produce. That would be a bad time for me, and the other 4 players looking for something specific.
Be a better player/person and you wont need to spam to forums begging blizzard to force you into others groups that dont want you. Stop being a big baby and assuming you need to be in every one elses group, regardless of what they are trying to do.

I have amazing news for you! You can actually still manually form every single dungeon group even with RDF in the game. Feel free to be as selective as you want. Choose only the players you want to group with.

maybe its different for dps but at least healing and taking I always form my own group. idgaf what gear you have and if anything I’d rather bring the undergeared person, they might actually get an upgrade. I dont want to bring someone who doesnt need to be there. I mean nobody is “carrying” anybody…its normal mode lmao

RDF doesn’t stop you from being able to handpick your elite crew of numbskulls before hitting that random dungeon button, or just RP walking from dungeon to dungeon if that’s more your thing.
Half of the reason RDF is good for the community, is that it gets less geared players and less meta classes INTO dungeons. So damn many of you act like it’s the end of the world if your UTK run takes 25 minutes instead of 20.
WotLK isn’t, wasn’t, and was never designed to be hard, quit pretending otherwise.

Nobody is kicking undergeared players out for the dungeon being hard, just like Vanilla wasn’t hard and people still used world buffs.
Sure they aren’t. 
Has never stopped players from pretending it was. And that trend continues, with players pretending to be shocked that classes are able to solo as much as they can in WotLK.
