Choosing a Covenant?

I was thinking that myself, the spider legs and the angel wings were clearly the two super back slots available from the covenants. So which ever covenant one those come from will most likely be my pick.

Pretty hard to do a poll when we are so far from final product and we have such limited information.
It would be easier to pick which covenants we aren’t interested in at the moment.

When I first saw this I almost wondered if that was the real purpose. It’s obviously nothing too formal or weighty but, given that the entire idea is that we’re going to pick a faction over the others, it’d be good for them to know if there’s one that no-one’s interested in early on when there’s still time for adjustments.

Yeah, it’s hard to say what you like about the new factions aside from maybe something that visually resonates with you as a player, but it’s much easier to say what you dislike from others.

It would also (in my opinion) be better at such an early stage to see which factions players completely have no interest in rather than what they do to see if they can make them more appealling.

With the racials as well it depends on their use. On face value 30% movespeed boost and enemies ignoring for 10s on a 1.5min cd seems more generically useful than the 20s body split one on 3min cd.
But in reality there might be really powerful skips that requires the full 20s rather than the 10s with movespeed increase.

Night Fae all the way, unless it’s the most popular one than I gotta change it

No one else likes the Kyrian? :frowning:

I’m choosing Kyrian on my paladin  I like them too, actually I enjoy all of them. My main though will be Venthyr. However, my paladin is pretty much my second main roleplay-wise (which is what I primarily do in the game) and Kyrian works perfectly for her.

Why are you guys so interested in having these balanced ?

This part of that expansion is the least of my concerns.

In any case, I don’t have enough information in order to choose anyway. I would need to know how much I will have to play in that particular zone once I choose one. No matter what else is involved, I would never pick one in a zone where travelling around the zone is the pits if I am forced to play there more.

I hated Nazjatar because of travel, I hate dark zones so those would be the main factors in my decision.

I’m most interested to know how difficulty changing factions is.

Night Fae or Kyrians. Interview says Tyrande is going to have a major part to play in Ardenweald which I’m looking forward to. What she does there will likely make up my choice.

Does anyone know if running through all 4 covenants once allows you to jump right into picking your covenants on alts that are on different servers than your main?

Probably - most of that kind of stuff they make account wide not server restricted, i.e. open up world quests on your main and that carries over to all servers on the same faction.

They said you can change covenants but you have to earn all your rep or w/e again with the new one.

So most likely easy to change, probably a pain to do.

And Uther. Can’t wait to visit him.

Interesting! So npcs will be joining us in shadowlands beyond our PCs - and the obvious dead spirits.

Wow I am surprised how Even this is.

Venthyr (I want playable vampires so bad). > Night Fae > Necrolord >>> Kyrian.

I voted, then let out a delighted laughing “Wooooow!” because the numbers are pretty evenly balanced as of my vote:

  • 29% Venthyr
  • 25% Necrolord
  • 24% Night Fae
  • 22% Kyrian

Anyway, my choices from what I know so far are Night Fae for my HM Tauren Druid, leaning Kyrian for my Worgen Hunter, and…hm, Venthyr for my future Vulpera Rogue because I think she’ll enjoy the teleportation for sneakiness. Want to experience all of them, so I’ll come up with someone else for the fourth Covenant.

And reading this thread, I’m really glad I play games for fun and story rather than competitiveness. Being able to play what you want just because you want to beats worrying whether it’ll be the cookie-cutter “best choice”.

None of the above. I’d rather stay unaffiliated.

This, but healing.

All those people who think Venthyr are San’layn…gonna be so sad.

Which Covenant does China want us to choose?
