After tonight’s hotfixes to lift the time gating associated with the Citrines from Siren Isle, buying the Legendary Skipper’s Citrine and the Seabed Leviathan’s Citrine from the vendor are not granting credit to the A Choir of Citrines achievement.
It seems we still have to “loot” it from the invasion weeklies to finish it as it is functioning right now, but really we should just be finishing it with the purchases.
Reloading UI or relogging does not fix this either just for information.

I wonder if the achievement is bricked, or if someone waits for the gems to be awarded in the original time-gated way, would the achievement criteria work then?
In other words, is the achievement still timegated, even if the ring upgrades aren’t?
I noticed that the citrines that can be looted from kills are still advancing the achievement.

I think they are gated by quests which was the original plan, then blizzard put them on the vendor.
To get credit for the achievement you need to “loot” the citrine, not buy or trade it to an alt. Guess we will see what happens next week.

I think the only way to get the remaining citrines is to buy them from the vendor. Upon looking at the Siren Isle Command Map, the only rewards listed for each boss event is the Crate of Bygone Riches once you’ve collected all the ones that drop off the bosses. But same problem as everyone else here: collected all the gems and no achievement.
