Yes, hiring a black woman into a diversity position that has nothing to do with the game is going to piss people off, great logic

DACA allows persons who were brought here as children long ago. They are not eligible if they are not educated, have no criminal record, etc. It does NOT make them citizens, is defers their expulsion if they register and are productive workers. It means they pay taxes, rent, tuition, etc - and that pays back the school tax fees spent to edcuate them.
They pay their own background investigation every two years as well. They exceed the standards applied to most people in the US.
Guidelines
You may request DACA if you:
- Were under the age of 31 as of June 15, 2012;
- Came to the United States before reaching your 16th birthday;
- Have continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007, up to the present time;
- Were physically present in the United States on June 15, 2012, and at the time of making your request for consideration of deferred action with USCIS; - Had no lawful status on June 15, 2012, meaning that:
– You never had a lawful immigration status on or before June 15, 2012, or - Any lawful immigration status or parole that you obtained prior to June 15, 2012, had expired as of June 15, 2012;
- Are currently in school, have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, have obtained a general education development (GED) certificate, or are an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States; and
- Have not been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, or three or more other misdemeanors, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety.
A whole lot of citizens can’t meet those standards. It is not the kid’s fault they were brought here and they earned the right to stay as productive law abiding citizens.
P.S. They contribute billions to the economy each year.

I don’t really have any thoughts on it one way or the other. I’m not super concerned with the individual staffing choices Blizzard makes, I care more about things like what the next expansion is going to look like.

Please read the actual info and learn about it. It is win win for the kids and for the workforce. It keeps the folks who are educated and working without any criminal history. Sadly it does not give them a path to citizenship. Only renewals of the program. It is voluntary on the part of the people in it.
You’re projecting. It is well known that white man resumes are being binned for resumes based on looks, plumbing and political leanings.
Also, Timmy who has been honing his craft since he was a teenager and just graduated college last year didn’t make anyone his enemy by being white- he will be binned regardless because it’s now overwhelmingly socially acceptable to do so. When you hate Timmy the white guy, choose to make him your enemy, that’s just racism and/or sexism. It’s a disgusting problem, and to keep it in context, it’s affecting the game I pay money into.

Knowing who the main of people working for Blizzard is never goes well. I remember checking Ions logs back in Castle Nathria and becoming genuinely depressed that he’s able to make decisions.

Well yes. The white male frat boy culture with on tap beer and sexual abuse impacted the games you played. It also created the current lawsuits. Maybe if they had hired qualified people instead of their friends it might have worked out better?

If so, no problem, but there is something else that blizzard determined that way to demonstrate this news.
there are many women who work in the company but the problem here is how she shows as if telling the community that there will be no more corruption, that we have the solution here by bringing in an Afro-descendant staff, and if we choose another of another race the government smack us, yeah… like Will Smith.
I don’t know, I doubt this news a lot and it really disappoints me, I’m not against it and much less if they are people who I will never meet in my life, but I am against the company making stupid vanities just for wanting to make people look good to an audience that probably still won’t forgive him for many things.
That is why I see this news as disappointing.
Would rather people being hired because they are the best at what they do not because of skin color or who they sleep with. I can’t really think of any worse qualifications for hiring someone.
You are so very wrong!!! DACA enables them to have legal status which means all the wage and employment benefits every citizen and legal worker gets. It is the OPPOSITE of slave labor.
The illegal folks are the ones just above slavery.
DACA are documented, background checked, educated here, crime free, working/going to school. They are paid legal wages and benefits - and they pay taxes on it as well.
