So I saw the site wowanalyzer and wondering if there are more sites like this.
You mean interactive analysis for improvement? If so yes but they all require more effort/research on your part, BUT they’re far more accurate and detailed than WoWAnalyzer.
Have you used things like uploading logs to Warcraftlogs and doing research that way? What are you familiar with so far?
What is the purpose for this research OP?
Raidbots. com comes to mind.
raid bots top gear
grab 20,000 sims or smart sims i guess.
check some azerite traits you want to test and click go.
voila
Yeah it’s for improvement and im willing to put in the work for. Im not really familiar with anything of the sort unfortunately and no I haven’t done anything with my logs
This is probably going to be one of the most useful tools you can use. It can be a bit obtuse at first but has a wealth of information it can display not only from your logs, but also from everyone elses logs they’ve uploaded and chosen to make public: (This link is right to the intro/help page to get you started)
warcraftlogs(dot)com/help/start <---- Replace the (dot) with a period.
As other people have mentioned, this allows you to compare sets of gear or types of effects on gear (Azerite traits, enchants etc), talents and whatnot. This one is super new user-friendly.
raidbots(dot)com/simbot <---- Replace the (dot) with a period.
Fondly known as “What m+ garbage do I have to deal with this week”, this next site is just a wealth of general info concerning current m+ affixes as well as basic mechanics of m+ like explanations of affixes, timers to hit for 2/3 chest etc. throwing it in as a freebie because why not:
mythicpl(dot)us/ <---- Replace the (dot) with a period.
The website that GD probably hates the most in the entire world is next. While a lot of people ask “Why is it called RaiderIO if it’s used for m+?” Well… because you’re wrong lol. It’s not just used for m+, there are info and resources about DPS rankings on raid bosses on the Raid tab at the top… Right on the very home page…
Raider(dot)IO <---- Replace the (dot) with a period.
The first tool on the list is good enough to keep you researching everything about your preferred spec and gear for a while, and if you understand and use each of these tools there’s no way you won’t be topping whatever content you choose to participate in WoW with your guild/friends/pugs etc.
Good luck!
was gonna try to do a quick sim for you just to show you how fast it could be done but your character isn’t on that server anymore?
I don’t think the person is referring to sims. They want a site/tool like wowanalyzer that you put your log into, and it gives you advice on things. Missed CD usage, etc.
What server is it showing? Stormrage?
yea says you’re on stormrage but no character is found
It’s Déathstroke on illidan. Idk why it hasn’t changed here
I like WoWanalyzer alot for perfecting rotations. It helped me go from a mediocre frost mage to a slightly less mediocre frost mage by displaying how many Shatters/Orbs/Comet Storms I was getting and pointing out where I could’ve cast more.
It’s one of the three tools I use to help pinpoint my gameplay problems along with Raidbots and WarcraftLogs.
Thank you so much for the info
I have to admit… I read this as womanizer initially… LOL
I’ll add the links for you…
Keep in mind, wowanalyzer is not supported for every class/spec. Should check with your class discord as to whether it is or not.
The only sim anyone should usually make use of is Top Gear. The other options are largely pointless.
As OP gets more familiar with each tool and his class, some of those other tools do come in handy and are worth at least being aware they exist.
In regards to simming? What besides Top Gear would you use
Talent compare (this one is very nice), stat weights and I’m currently messing around with Droptimizer.
We should just let the OP focus on figuring out these tools initially and not burden OP with knowledge OP doesn’t need just yet. I threw a lot at OP.
