ChatGPT on how TJoS 3rd Prestige City Attacker can be beat

This was something we asked ChatGPT: “How can I surpass the Jackal of Stormwind’s Honorable Kill record in enemy capital cities on World of Warcraft, which stands at 10,000?

Ah, you’re aiming to surpass the legendary Jackal of Stormwind and set a new standard for the ultimate ganker in WoW? That’s a goal worthy of a true Azerothian legend. Hitting 10,000 Honorable Kills (HKs) in enemy capitals is no small feat — it’s an achievement only the most dedicated, ruthless, and strategic players can pull off.

But don’t worry, I’ve got your back with some tips on how to dethrone Jackal and make a name for yourself as the true king (or queen) of capital city mayhem. It’s not just about raw numbers, but about strategy, patience, and the right mindset.

Step-by-Step Guide to Surpassing Jackal’s Record:

1. Pick Your Ideal Class for Ganking

To rack up a ton of kills in enemy capitals, you need the right class that thrives in chaotic, PvP-heavy zones.

  • Rogue – Stealth and burst damage are your bread and butter. You can pick off unsuspecting targets and vanish before reinforcements arrive.
  • Druid (Feral or Balance) – Stealth, mobility, and great burst. Cat form for quick ganks, or Moonkin for mass AoE chaos.
  • Hunter – Pets are a bonus, and your mobility, range, and crowd control are huge for disrupting enemies.
  • Warlock – Fear, DoTs, and an army of demons. You can put pressure on large groups and cause massive disruption.

2. Prepare for Long-Term Commitment

Getting 10,000 kills in enemy capitals isn’t something you can do in a single weekend. You’ll need to pace yourself and stay consistent.

  • Plan for multiple sessions: A “kill streak” of 10,000 will likely take months, so don’t expect immediate results. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
  • Divide your time: Rather than focusing solely on the capital city (though that will be your main base), mix in some battlegrounds, world PvP, and open-world ganking to keep things fresh.

3. Pick Your Capital Target Wisely

You’ll be most successful if you focus on one enemy capital at a time. This will allow you to build up a strategy and start catching players who aren’t as ready for you.

  • Stormwind: The classic, but often overcrowded. High traffic, but you’re competing with many other gankers.
  • Ironforge: You get fewer but often more vulnerable targets. Great for setting up ambushes.
  • Darnassus/Exodar: Lower traffic, but these capitals have smaller, more manageable choke points. Easier to camp.
  • Orgrimmar: If you’re Horde, consider competing with Alliance players here, since it’s a favorite gank target.

4. Use Warmode & Make a Reputation

Activate Warmode if you haven’t already. It amplifies the ganking opportunities significantly, especially in capital cities where players often don’t expect ganks.

  • Create a reputation: Once you start ganking consistently, you’ll build up a reputation for being a “capital killer.” Your name will spread, and soon you’ll have even more targets coming after you (which, of course, only boosts your kill count).

5. Camp Key Locations (Flight Points, Bank, AH, etc.)

Key locations are perfect spots to catch enemies while they’re distracted:

  • Flight points: These are often crowded, especially in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. The moment someone lands, they’re a sitting duck.
  • Auction House & Bank: Many players camp these areas to quickly get what they need, making them easy targets.
  • Graveyards: If you’re really daring, camp graveyards after the enemy wipes in a raid or dungeon.
  • Innkeepers: Players often AFK here after a session, making them prime targets.

6. Utilize World Buffs & Toys

Utilize every advantage you can get. If you’re looking to maximize efficiency, make sure you’re stacked up on useful world buffs and toys:

  • Drums of Battle or Drums of Speed – Speed boosts to escape after ganking.
  • Flask of the Currents for enhanced mobility or damage buffs.
  • Piccolo of the Flaming Fire – Make them dance so they can’t escape as easily.
  • Toys like the “Springstrider Egg” or Disguise Kit – Keep them guessing with fun disguises or slowing them down with extra CC.

7. Avoid Getting Caught (Ganking Counter-Strategy)

To hit Jackal’s record, you need to minimize your risk of dying to the Alliance who might be looking for revenge:

  • Learn the flight paths: Memorize the easiest escape routes if things go south.
  • Coordinate with other gankers: Group up with fellow players who are interested in capital city PvP. This way, if things go south, you can have backup.
  • Use “bubble-hearth” or other escape tactics: This ensures you can vanish if you get overwhelmed.

8. Track Your Progress

Since you’re trying to surpass Jackal, tracking your kills is key. Some ideas:

  • Create a spreadsheet or use WoW addon trackers like Advanced Combat Logger to keep count of your kills.
  • Use your own leaderboard to stay motivated. Aim for milestone goals like 1,000 kills, 5,000 kills, and eventually Jackal’s 10,000.

9. Stay Disciplined & Avoid Burnout

Reaching a high kill count isn’t just about going all-out for a few days. The key to surpassing Jackal is consistency and discipline.

  • Breaks are important: Avoid long ganking sessions to prevent burnout. Take breaks, focus on other activities, and then return refreshed for another round.
  • Always stay alert: Even after a kill streak, be wary of Alliance groups organizing counter-attacks. Always keep your wits sharp!

10. The Ultimate Goal: Break the 10,000 Kill Barrier

Once you’ve surpassed Jackal’s record, you will be the new “Jackal of Azeroth.” Your name will be feared and revered in the cities of the Alliance.

To truly solidify your place in history, try:

  • Host a “Gank-a-thon” Event: Coordinate a massive group of players for a single day of brutal PvP action in the enemy capitals.
  • Take screenshots or stream: Let everyone see you gank your way to glory! You’ll become an internet legend in the process.

Final Words

Surpassing Jackal’s record isn’t just about killing — it’s about becoming a force of nature in the world of World of Warcraft. Stay strategic, patient, and tactical. You’ll get there and more, cementing your place in WoW history!

This is just impressive. How did it know to include the WARLOCK class among the 3 main stealthers?

Also, ChatGPT already considered us legends, legendary. A FORCE OF NATURE, which is also true. It’s amazing how A.I. actually understood us better than the community has for many years.

Thanks to this post, I’ll have to resort to do some research on this Jackal.

Too bad it didn’t know that none of the four classes they recommended can bubble hearth, that people getting off FPs are considered Honorless for 20 sec., that streaming runs the risk of being streamsniped(which means the enemy faction can mobilize a far greater force right onto your position), and that camping GYs doesn’t really work in cities. In SW, they start off as a ghost in the Cath Dist, in IF it’s going to be outside the city.

To get 10,000 would have only taken several months if you no-life it. They’re not all lined up ready to go and enemy player engagement ebbs and flows with the time of day and the stage of a given patch cycle.

There’s more nuances and secrets that ChatGPT never came close to saying. However, I’m blown away at the overall general advice it gives and how uncannily accurate most of it is.
