Chat Channel Colours Keep Changing

I don’t know if this is an addon problem but since I’ve returned to wow my chat channel colours keep changing.

For example, I have general, local defence and a few community channels I like to change the colour of.

I change a community channel colour to sky blue and the next time I log in instead of it being sky blue, General chat would be sky blue and the community chat channel will be the default pink.

Is this a known problem or a problem a addon is having? I do have quite a few addons and their all up to date so it’s hard to tell which one is doing, if it is indeed a addon problem?

I don’t know if this is an addon problem…

The best way to rule out an addon issue is to do a Full UI Reset which will give you a fresh new stock UI.

Do you use TRP? I know that’s a culprit sometimes for RPers to have to fiddle a bit with due to their add-on making a broadcast channel to collect data.

I do, I was thinking it might be that. Updated my addons, still didn’t fix it. I don’t really want to do a clean UI reset.

If you follow the instructions, it’s reversible if it doesn’t help or you decide you’d rather have your current UI settings than fix the problem.

Im too lazy to type it all out again, but take a peek at this thread with a similar issue. This should take care of it for you, with the assumption of TRP being the culprit

It may be TRP or another add-on. Right-click on your chat tab, click on Settings [image] Click Channels on the left side bar. It’ll show you what channels are what. [image] Left-click on the channel you want to move, and drag it to the position you want it to be. If it’s TRP or one of those, it’s likely a broadcast channel to communicate with others who share the add-on. You may just need to drag it to the bottom of your list, and everything else will be corrected.
