Curious as how to charge in combat as a Warrior?
Been seeing so many players do this and wondering how it’s done.

You cant charge in combat
Its not charge.
Its a separate fury skill called intercept.
i was wondering what it was !!!
lol did blizzard remove intercept from retail too?
Yeah, its handy even for tanks, its similar to charge obviously, but you need rage to spend on it vs it giving you rage when you use it like charge.
Ah. Got ya.
Lol, good question, i wouldn’t be surprised if they have though.
You don’t.
Intercept is not charge.
Yeah, i understood that the first time.
But thanks.
My first though was you just got merked by a warrior.
its a 30 second cooldown only usable in berserk stance learned at lvl 30.
It does not share a cooldown with charge
Think he was just curious. I forgot about intercept too until this thread lol.
Yeah, just curious.
Only know you can charge in combat in retail and not in classic.
Never played vanilla so didn’t even realise.
Or 20 seconds with two points spent.
You won’t believe this but they actually removed D stance too. I kid you not! Get this a Prot warrior in Retail doesn’t have D stance! mind blown right?
I never thought I would be just happy as Prot to have D stance again lul.
Now lets take a trip down memory lane… You can’t charge in combat but Swifty came up with a script and was very talented in marcros made one to use charge in combat back in Vanilla. So it effectively dropped combat to charge. His warrior tips and tricks video is one of the most watched WoW videos over time.
Granted it eventually changed and you could charge in combat latter.
There is a set bonus that reduces this by 3-5 seconds as well.
Nup, now you are pulling my leg…why on earth would they do that. Surely this is just a troll, and a not funny one at that.
I wish I was… I have mained Prot warriors since TBC and I really tried to get the Devs to listen during BFA Beta… but… They changed D stance which was passive at this point into Vanguard which is a watered down terrible new ability. So yes Prot warriors don’t have D stance. Which is one of the main reasons I quit BFA. Literally the entire core tool kit isn’t a Prot warrior anymore. I also despise and I repeat I despise what they did to mitigating tanking. You should be actually Tanky without having to hit any buttons but the Devs disagree
Wait, really? What was their justification in removing it? I know precious little about how warriors work but defensive stance seems a touch important…

It’s a long sad story about the evolution of retail that killed Prot… The game evolved and thus changed Prot into something that isn’t Prot. This is the short version. Think this response gives you a hint though.
If you’re prot, the extra threat is just baked in to the abilities now and you’re given the toughness naturally, you don’t need to be in a stance for it.
I don’t think there are any warrior stances anymore.
