I just came back from an extended (roughly 8years) break. Most of my characters are here but my main character is missing. All my achievements from playing him are there, but none of my transmogs or reputations.
Dirtmagirk Death Knight on either Gilnaes or Spirestone, I moved servers a lot.
I’m the only person to have ever used this name and am still as I created a new character.
I tried all of the knowledge base suggestions to refresh my character list. Hoping for assistance.
If it was that long ago, there are a couple of things to look for. First, the name is likely no longer the same. That far back, the name was likely released and would now contain some numbers/letters/gibberish in it.
Secondly, it wouldn’t be the same level as there was a level squish a few years back.
Lastly, make sure to try making a new character on any server they might have been on to help ‘refresh’ the character list.
Hopefully they pop-up!

Looks like there is a Dirtmagirk on Dunemaul. As Perl mentioned the level will be different from what you remember as we did a level squish with the Shadowlands expansion, but you have several characters that were originally level 100 and 110.
I don’t remember when we switched to the newer version of the name release system, but it doesn’t look like those names were altered, so I’m going to guess before 2018. The one from yesterday that had their names changed hadn’t logged into the characters since 2010.
OMG Thank you! Logging into the Dunemaul server brought him back into my list!!
