Characters in limbo

ok so four days ago my account got hacked and blizzard locked the account apparently for suspicious activity after securing game my computer and changing passwords i submitted my photo id 2 days ago i was finally able to get the account lock removed i then found out that all the gold on the characters was sent to 2 toons one each on horde and alliance and those toons were then supposedly transferred to the oceanic server frostmourne apparently this is when the account got locked those toons nachodps on area 52 and msdestro on proudmore now show up on the frostmourne sever selection screen. there is no record of a transaction in the transaction history for a character transfer. All gold on the toons on area52 and proudmore has been returned but the 2 toons on the frostmourne selection have not been returned to there original servers. If i even try to log into those toons on frostmourne i get an error message stating you can not log in until the character update process i initiated is complete. so those two toons are basically unplayable since i didn’t initiate a character process and there is no transaction that i can cancel and they cant be logged into on a server i never chose to move them to. and yes i have a ticket open although its been responded to several times with only pa4rtial addresses to the issues lets face it 21 plus hours to get a reply in email is kind of a long time as ive said the whole issue has been ongoing for 4 days and it looks like it will be day five before its resolved

A ticket is the only way to address this issue. Don’t take this the wrong way, but I really hope your ticket was a little more concise about the issue and not a larege wall of text :frowning:

Your post is very difficult to read, so I’ll apologize if I miss anything in advance.

It sounds like they were able to lock down the account while they started to process the restoration to your compromise. During this time, it’s critical to secure your computer and email to ensure that your account isn’t compromised again by the same hackers.

If you haven’t done so yet, I’d recommend running some scans like MalwareBytes to look for any malicious software on your computer.

I’d also recommend securing your e-mail or even making a brand new e-mail address just for WoW and then securing that with an authenticator.

I’d also recommend making sure you’re ready to add an authenticator to your WoW account to make sure that it stays safe too.

As for it taking longer than you would like it to, there are other people ahead of you in line with account issues and security issues too. That’s why it’s so important for us to keep our WoW accounts secure!

System was Scanned but malwarebytes TotalAv and KOMODO all with negative results of a virus or malware present on my computer email provider found no logins other than from my current location on ip records and yes my tickets were more concise and the blizzard system only allows you to use your phone number on one account which i have more than one of i have several gms reply to the ticket and mark it as answered but the issue of the characters in limbo has not been addressed since i regained control and the ability to play the game 2 daYS AGO. My last reply to the ticket was hours ago

It looks like your open ticket is currently being reviewed by a Game Master and should receive a reply within the next hour or so, assuming there aren’t any complications.

well now my account is again locked i cant even play on the servers that didnt have toons in limbo

Your account is locked so that the Game Master can work on your account and relocate the characters you reported safely. They cannot do this while you are on the account.

That’s not for an authenticator though. You can use the mobile authenticator on up to 3 different battle.net accounts

ok an email notice would have been nice i mean i can log into battlenet and press play and bam getting sent an error message that says account has been locked due to eula violations or forum abuse is kind of frustrating
