I was just playing live on my new level 80 after coming back to the game a week ago. Logged in this morning and all my characters are gone and says free trial on the top left. I put in a ticket an hour ago, no response yet. I assume battle net is forcing me on to the Starter edition on my account, (WoW 2) and not my active edition with all my characters (WoW 1).
Troubleshooting attempts I’ve taken which all failed:
- Delete caches of blizzard and retail folders
- reinstall battle net
- changed battle net password
- Asking ChatGPT to help figure it out
Battle net launcher shows no options anywhere in settings to change this and also is ----- missing the drop down to select versions -----underneath WoW Live and above the Play button. Interestingly it does include the version drop down menu for every other version of WoW like Classic and the PTR realms.
My account page on the website shows my 2 wow editions and everything looks correct but have no way of switching editions.
