Characters Disappeared

Since no one is answering in the website support, I’d like to post my concerns here. Every single character of mine except the ones on Mal’ganis do not show up in my Character Selection for forums.

Furthermore, I cannot look at any of my characters save maybe 3 in the Armory. It feels like the ones I most recently logged into suddenly vanished. I did the log in/log out to try and update after a new guild and server transfer, and then a day later log in/log out again to further update my account. However, with that log in / log out, it wiped everything except these two characters from Mal’ganis, and now I can’t even see my roster in the Armory. This is happening to others as well.

There’s never an answer in the website bugs form unless they needed more information. Also they all went home hours ago. It’s not manned 24/7 norr does it need to be leave your report there and they’ll check into it

That’s the thing, it’s not just me. If you look at all the threads, you can’t find a blue post or discussion or MVP response post for days, weeks even. And there are posts that were there yesterday/today that were not touched.

I’m unsure what can constitute as lack of information, as even a MVP poster has a thread up. I don’t know their hours of operation, but I can assume it’s 9 to 5, or until 8 PM PST which some of these threads were posted.

At the very least, maybe a player had an answer.

Unfortunately this forum isnt staffed 24/7 either and most we could recomend is try resetting your password and see if that fixes it.

Actually, it has.
You usually have to scroll back months to find a blue post in a bug report forum and the post is normally a request for more info about what is being reported.

Bug report forums are for QA to collect reports, not for discussions, although when a major forum update is implemented, the website bug report dev team has been known to post an explanation of some facet of the update there.

So then how does it work exactly? Do I post my own thread so they count the heads of the exact issue, or do you just post in someone else’s forum to basically explain the same thing. Because I know it can get complicated to discern if it is a user error and not really a bug. I doubt they have time to investigate everything everyone has ever reported, and leaving someone hanging doesn’t solve much of a problem if it takes a month to make a post about fixed bugs and recognized bugs. That’s just my take on it. I could be wrong entirely and it’s all just an automated system that chooses key words so there’d be no responses, obviously.

Unfortunately, there really is no really good way to guarantee the website/armory will update. Usually, just logging into a character and out will do it (proper log out, not a forced log out) but not always. Sometimes changing your password will prompt an update, but that too - isn’t a sure-fire method to guarantee it will work.

Similar thing happened to me a day ago.
Posted a reply and got a message saying I had been logged out although the post took.
When I logged back in, it logged me in automatically without a password prompt but with a different set of available characters.

Manually logged out and then back in using a password and noticed a slightly different set of available characters. I repeated that process a couple of times until I got an available character set with this guy in it.

Small update on this - apparently something is up with the APIs - they are being worked on.
