On December 10th I activated a transfer for my Hunter, from Stormreaver to Dragonmaw. I’ve transferred a good number of toons before, so I expected the transfer to happen overnight. On the night of the transfer, before logging off, I noticed my hunter was removed from Stormreaver, a regular process in the transfer. The night after I logged on to play the hunter. The “Gear” icon, that transfers are being facilitated was gone, but my hunter was no where to be found. No other realm on any region had him. I wanted to wait another night, but still, my hunter is in the shadow realm.
Has anyone come across this issue? And has it been restored? There’s a lot of progression on that Hunter, so losing him would be a huge hit.
Now, since this is very recent - you could put in a ticket and tell them you accidentally moved it to another of your licenses when you didn’t intend to, you only intended to move realms.
This was done on 12/5 - so hopefully it’s still within the window - especially since you haven’t logged into the character - and I’d recommend NOT logging in if you want this reversed.
They may be able to just reverse this so you can do it again.
I’d submit it under problem with a purchase. - Actually, you already have a ticket in - just edit that ticket.
Just so it’s said, they will judge your issue by the date your ticket is submitted. Not when they actually answer the ticket. I know billing and account issues may take a few days turnaround, general issues are at about a week. The extended wait times are Blizzard’s burden to bear, we’re not penalized because of them. Just in case you see a wait time of a few weeks pop up when you submit your ticket. That isn’t your particular ticket’s time. That’s just an estimation based on the oldest ticket in the system.
Hello gain, responding here so I don’t open a new thread.
Quick refresher is I realm transferred my Hunter, and chose the option to send him to WoW2 accidently. I did get a response from the ticket I placed, but like “Leilleath” mentioned in the last comment of this thread, I could not be refunded.
Fast forward to today. I purchased another transfer on that sweet sweet sale after the three day cooldown to attempt the transfer back to my active account. But every day I keep getting the “Character is still on cooldown for this feature” when I attempt to transfer.
Is there any way around the cooldown?
Side note: I do not remember owning any expansion on WoW2 and it is Inactive.
No, that is hard-coded and a not even a GM would be able to get around it.
Certain character services trigger a cooldown preventing additional services for that character. Cooldown periods cannot be bypassed by Customer Service.
In Modern WoW, most cooldowns are 72 hours. However, if a character is transferred to another account, that character will not able to perform an account or realm transfer for 30 days.
In WoW Classic and Wrath of the Lich King Classic, a character can only transfer once every 90 days. Free migrations are not subject to this limitation and do not trigger a cooldown.
A Character Boost applies a 72 hours cooldown period during which you cannot start a Character Transfer. For Modern WoW, it also applies a 72 hours cooldown to a Faction Change or Race Change.
Not the answer you were hoping for, I know, but at least the wait is (mostly) almost over. Keep in mind that it’s 30 days to the second, so if the transfer happened at exactly 1:00:00pm on December 10, the cooldown will expire at exactly 1:00:00pm on January 9.
