I had a few characters on a server in regular classic that were migrated to cataclysm classic, can I get them returned to regular classic because I’m not happy they were migrated out of regular classic without even checking with me?

I’m honestly not sure as I don’t play Classic at all.
If you want answers, Magnarok has posted where you should probably move this. Simply edit it and select MOVE to Customer Service where a CSA may be able to assist you.

For a limited time, characters were able to be selected to remain on the original WoW Classic Era Realm. It is not possible to retroactively move a character back to a Classic Era Realm if you did not make that choice at the time.”
I imagine that you can replace TBC with whatever new variant has launched, i.e Cata.

No. They will not do that. I lost a boatload of characters because I wasn’t aware they were planning on porting them over to Wrath to make it look like there was more participation. A lot of people who were expecting their characters to remain as previously promised quit when Shadowlands sucked and they would have had to reroll their level 60’s.

Once you’re in one version, you cannot transfer to another.

I would understand if it was my choice, and I gave consent, but I didn’t give consent, they just took it upon themselves to move my toons, now I remember why I stopped playing this game
They changed their minds after so many players said they had been planning on doing Wrath because they were expecting RFD, but changed their minds because it turned out it wasn’t going to happen. They got a “participation spike” they were able to report to investors. But in the end, they had to put in a dungeon finder after all.
They announced which servers were turning into BC/Wrath/Cata servers.
I don’t care what the reason was, I just need to consider canceling my sub, I did not consent to this and I’m really mad at this, all the time and effort I put into those toons, wasted, might need to stop paying for lousy game management.

They put out several announcements as to what servers were going to be for BC, Wrath and Cata. You’ve somehow missed out on all three of the Classic expansion announcements?

That sucks that happened. But, Blizzard doesn’t need “consent” when it comes to their own property. They own our accounts, not us. If you weren’t playing during the migrations then there’s nothing to be done, unfortunately. You chose not to play, and therefore chose to ignore updates.

So for three expansions of Classic you’ve paid no attention and are somehow blaming Blizz for things changing.
They don’t require your consent. They own everything. They gave ample notice over the course of four years.

No. That’s not how it happened
First, after classic was finished, they announced they were going to allow players to clone their characters to TBC. If you chose not to clone them they would stay in Era, or you could reroll in TBC. I thought that cloning was ideal, but they were charging a ridiculous amount of real money for the privilege. I seem to recall it was $65. I don’t think it was that popular, and later they reduced it to $15.
I guess somewhere they decided they needed to ship ALL our characters to Wrath and announced it somewhere that people who don’t live to spend their time doing research about videogame microdetails might miss.
This was NEVER a thing. All Era characters that had not been cloned or played were shipped to Wrath servers. Actually I think I had a level 7 rogue that remained behind. You’d better tell them to come and get that character.

Bloodsail Buccaneers has existed since Classic and was changed into a BC server, then Wrath and now Cata.

Again, incorrect information. Why can’t you admit the truth? TBC servers were separate from Classic servers. Wrath servers were separate servers. Simultaneously Classic Era and TBC servers existed with the same names. When TBC ended, Wrath servers were started and simulaneously existed with Era servers.
There was never any conversion of Bloodsail Buccaneers (interesting that someone decided to give you my private account information to post on the forums) from a Classic server into a BC server.
