Trying to transfer my character but still says “Error: you must clear the mailbox”
I have cleared it. I have removed all auctions, left all arena teams, deleted alts with any potential source of mail outgoing or incoming. My mailbox is empty, yet still giving me this error message.
Would appreciate any advice. I have opened a ticket.
Try removing folks from your ignore list and see if any mail comes up.
Forgot to add that into my post, yes i have removed everyone from my ignore list-on all toons including the one im trying to xfer and no new mail pops up or anything. thx
Have you done any Plaguelands quests or turned in bijous? They have mail associated with them that take 24hours to arrive. They will produce that error while the mail is pending. I can’t remember if TBC had any quests like that.
You appear to have a few tickets in at the moment, including the self-help option for mail recovery. Just for clarification, that wouldn’t help in this instance. Deleted mail wouldn’t prevent you from transferring.
Your mailbox has pending mail. This is mail that is usually sent by an NPC after completing specific quests. You should receive that mail within the next 24 hours. Once you do you’ll be able to clear it and transfer it normally.
I would avoid doing any holiday quests for any character you are looking to transfer.
Edit: Looking at the delivery time it should arrive by 9 am PST tomorrow morning.

I need help i have hidden mail that isnt showing up everyone is off the ignore list i think its npc mail that will take days to get to me or worse something that wont show up. im trying to transfer and its saying i have mail when i don’t i dont want the server im going to to lock free transfers and have to pay 25$ for it that i dont have.
Rather than necroing a thread 9 months dead, you may want to post over in this one instead. I’ve seen both Vrak and Orlyia helping folks out there.
