The character transfer screen seems malicious in that it’s requiring me to “pay now” just to see the possible places my whitemane character is eligible to transfer to.
I would like to get a simple answer here: Can I transfer from US-Whitemane to US-Atiesh? If not, for curiosity sake, why? Thanks.
To clarify, these are characters on the Cataclysm Classic Servers
Paid transfers can transfer to any server within the OCE/NA region. Which yes, you can transfer from Whitemane to Atiesh. You can not transfer between games (retail to classic), and can not transfer between regions (EU to NA)
The restrictions on where you can transfer are listed in the Support Article that Ayukama linked.
Outside of that, the only other restrictions would be if the realm was marked Full or Locked or if they are currently offering Free Character Moves.
I don’t believe Atiesh is a destination for FCMs so unless it is locked, there shouldn’t generally be an issue.
For a little history, character transfers, in fact, all character services would be an on purchase basis. Meaning that when you made the purchase you were also selecting the character for it, and what was being done, which would take place immediately.
The Token system allows us to bundle those services for discounts and for users to take advantage of a sale, even if they aren’t ready to utilize the service. There may be drawbacks to each, but there is nothing malicious in our intent.
