Character stuck dead in BFA Mythic Raid, Unstuck did not solve

Character died while soling a BFA Mythic Raid (Battle of Dazaralor), I died and can not release because an NPC is fighting the boss, neither are taking any damage (Rackle the Innkeeper and Frida Ironbelly). I can not release and have been dead for 20 minutes with no option to release because “A member of your group is in combat”. Unstuck put me at the start of the raid, but I am still a corpse and can not release. Please help!

You will have to open a ticket on this one.

Might be a silly question, but how? I am searching through the Customer support and it tells me to go here if the automated systems like “Stuck Character Services” are not helpful.

Here’s the link for you:
https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/contact/1369/ticket

It usually shows up if the self-help service failed, so it’s not part of the normal ticket support options

Thank you! It didn’t show up cuz the self-help was “Successful” since it teleported me to the front of the instance, but im still dead and locked in combat. I will give this a shot, thanks!

I dunno if it works because of an NPC is being in combat but you could try inviting someone else to your party through premade finder or ask to be invited?

I can’t join any queue through dungeon or pvp tab cuz I’m dead, and I don’t know if a druid for example could zone in to battle res me because an encounter is in progress.

Few things here.

If you can’t release under this kind of circumstance, you need to force quit the game and wait 5-10 min. That give the system time to autolog out the character.

Sometimes logging into another character on that realm may help by forcing it offline, but doesn’t always work.

Once the character is offline - that’s when the character move service could be attempted.

In any case, once you autolog - it normally moves you back to the entrance of an instance.

I appreciate the response. The character was moved to the entrance but is still dead and the release option is grayed out. I have been logged onto another character for the last 20-30 minutes, when I just tried to log onto my DK again, The NPCs are still locked in perpetual combat, and I cannot release.

In game, type the following exactly:

/script RepopMe()

just a note, when performing the “Stuck Character” automated service, it did move me to the entrance, but I received a note that there was an error and I need to contact a GM with a ticket for help (which I have done now).

Do try this.

Thank you for the suggestion, I read this somewhere else as well. I Just tried /script RepopMe(), nothing happened. The normal “release spirit” option is grayed out with the message “A member of your group is in combat”. Ofcourse I am solo, so the “member” is the NPC who is fighting the boss taking 0 damage on both sides.

Have a friend invite you to a group and see if that lets you click the release spirit button.

Tried that as well, this is the first boss as well so I’m not “locked” yet, so tried getting someone in my group to reset while i was offline, still no change.

Did you force quit the program as I suggested till you autologged out ingame?

Yes, I just force quit again as well, I’ll let it sit for awhile. But as I mentioned before, I was logged off for 20+ minutes (on a different character) and when I just relogged to try the /script suggestion, there was no change.

I really appreciate the responsiveness and suggestions.

When last I was in game, the estimated wait time was 4 hours for a ticket, do I need to be available to respond during that window if I am up in the queue? I have several meetings upcoming.

Nope  They’ll move you if you’re still stuck at that time.
