Character Stuck Dead and Can't Release in a Raid - Boss In Eternal Fight With Friendly NPC [Resolved]

Character: Xanman
Realm: Jubei’thos
Location: Battle of Dazar’alor
Boss Fight: Frida Ironbellows

Context: Started boss fight with Frida, got bored and wiped it. Shortly after a Friendly NPC Continued the fight.

Issue: Friendly NPC will not die and is currently stuck in an eternal fight with the boss as such I cannot release.

Remediations attempted:

  1. Logging off and staying logged off for ~10 minutes - didn’t resolve

  2. Remediations listed in https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/article/12728

  3. trying to create a support case but all it does it take me to the above link.

Can someone please advise on how to remediate this?
Or does this require interaction with human support, if so I keep trying to create a case but all it does is loop me through the automated services

Try 30 to 45 minutes for the instance to hard reset. 10 minutes isn’t enough time for that to happen.
