I keep hearing from friends that it was not until Wrath that we got 12 character slots. I would really like to see +2 character slots in Prepatch.
My reason for this request is that I have 8 60s, and intend to level a paladin. I additionally have 2 bank alts, (One intended to be a 19 twink) and the other one is my main bank alt that does auctions, and I started leveling it as well. So if we only have 10 character slots, it really complicates things for me.

TBC did not have a slot increase. For reference here are the patches associated with any character limit increases.
Patch 8.1.5 (2019-03-12): Limit of characters per realm increased to 50, from 18.
Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Limit of characters per realm increased to 18, from 16.
Hotfix (2018-01-31): “All accounts now have 16 character slots available per realm (was 12).”
Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Limit of characters per realm increased to 12, from 11.
Hotfix (2014-10-17): “Players are now able to undelete their characters.”
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Limit of characters per realm increased to 11, from 10.
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Limit of characters per realm increased to 10, from 9.
That being said, Blizzard is up for #somechanges so an increase could be an option if it has enough support in TBC.

Ten characters per account per server is what the limit is presently on beta, I just filled till it would not allow me to make any more characters.
I’d like to sign the +2 char slot petition. Got one of each alliance class atm, gonna make a shaman during prepatch and likely still need more than 1 bank alt.
IMO they should just add at least one for people who would like to have a character of the new race.
