I have a question regarding the 3 day refund time limit on character services.
Earlier today around 1pm EST I finished leveling one of my paladin alts and was planning on faction changing them to Blood Elf for the transmog quest. This was right around the time Blizz servers were acting weird and the character service was purchased, but unavailable to be used. I ended up doing other things but about 3.5 hours later I saw an email about the Blizz summer sale, which mentioned that character services are now 30% until July 4th. I put in a ticket to have my faction change refunded. My ticket time currently says the estimated wait is 12 days 5 hours.
So, assuming it takes that much time to get my refund, will I even get my refund at that point since it’s past the 3 day span since purchase?
It really does not matter what the wait time is, it’s when you put the ticket in?
The automated refund system did not kick in I take it?
Just don’t play the character.

I haven’t used the faction change. The button now shows it’s available though. When I attempted to get a refund through the support website, it had me open a ticket with the order number (optional) and a description. This is my first time requesting a refund for a Blizzard product so I’m not sure if there’s an automated process.
There is. The first option in the refund process is automated to get you the fastest service they can. If you qualify, the system automatically grants it. You can see the terms in the following article.
If the computer does not grant it for some reason, you would then put in a ticket to have a GM review the situation.
You should have gotten some sort of email notice that your refund request was accepted or rejected. I have not done it myself so don’t know what the current system looks like for notices.

No orders show up under what I’m assuming is the automated refund request, just a link to make a ticket.
Then put in the ticket and be sure that you get a ticket number! That means it went in and the time of submission is recorded.
