Character Name Was Changed During Account Transfer

I just transfer a character “Stuee” from one of my accounts to another of my accounts and his name was changed during the transfer. The character remained on the same realm, Shadow Council, as he has always been and was active with the name Stuee before the transfer so there is no way another person could have taken the name. I would like his name fixed.

Did you stay on the same Battle Net account (i.e., same email login) OR did you transfer between Battle Net accounts?

It’s the same Battlenet account, same login. I just moved the character from one Warcraft account to another which are both on the same Battlenet account.

Have you fully logged in to the character? If I am understanding Vrakthris’ post, you should be able to rename the character to its original name.

Renamed, or flagged for a name change? Have you tried to log in yet? If you do, you should be prompted to select a new name.

Since you transferred on the same [Battle.net](http://Battle.net) account but between two WoW licenses the name technically existed on the destination realm since you had already taken it. As soon as the transfer is complete the naming conflict is resolved, you simply need to rename your character to your original name.

Thanks so much! That worked. I hadn’t logged into the character yet, only saw the name was changed on the character list. Thanks for the help.
