Character Name Change

I purchased the service to change my character’s name, but it says it is not available in the realm. I’ve already opened a ticket about this, but I really don’t understand. The official World of Warcraft website states that there is no result for the name I want to use for the intercom servers, which are Nemesis and Tol Barad.
When selecting the new name inside the game, it informs you that it is valid for use.

{Removing, just in case people get ideas}

If you are using the Armory as a name source please understand it is VERY inaccurate. It does not have older characters that have not logged in, chars under level 10, chars who have name changes but not logged in recently, etc.

The ONLY way to see if a name is actually available on your desired realm, is to try to make a character. If you can’t then the name is taken. This is not something the GMs can change for you.

Taken names are freed up automatically about every 2 expansions if the Battlenet account is totally inactive. There is no way to know which are inactive or when that will happen, from a player point of view.

That can happen if the character hasn’t been logged in for a while. From what I can see the name is in use still.

If the name is available to be reused, you should be able to create a character with that name. I am not entirely certain if the Rename Token will allow that to work. If you cannot create a character with that name, it means it is not yet available to be reused.

I’d give that a shot. If you can claim the name, then delete the character and then try using the Rename Token.
