So i was doing a Delve got lagged out and Disconnect now eveyrtime try to log onto the character it Says character with that name already exists tried reloading and restarting wow multiple times nothing works How to fix this?

Just happened to me running Sanctum of Domination. Took out the Terengrue (sp?), the game stopped responding, so I closed it. When I got back in, it says my character doesnât exist when I tried to zone in, then did it again and it says that name already exists. I am completely locked out of my main.

Yup. Can confirm. I cannot get into the game at all. Just keeps saying âName already exists.â
This is very irritating, does anyone know a work around to get back in the game?

Just happened to me. I can log into my other characters still, but not my main one.
Iâve been seeing this issue A LOT tonight. Events like killing a boss, completing a world quest, completing a delve. Something VERY wrong.

Same here, before entering delve I was herbing and tried to change flight stance and it wouldnât let me. When I got into delve couldnât hop on the mushroom to jump. Then couldnât log out or exit game. When tried to log back in âcharacter already existsâ several times. Well okay.

I canât even log out, my character is stuck in Dalaran. everything is frozen, canât do anything canât cast, canât get on mount⌠plus I just lost time warp badges trying to transfer them.

having the same problem. was in raid when it happened exit out and now my character is stuck in blizzard limbo saying name already exists.

Same, got stuck in a Visions of NZoth. I alt F4âd out of the game and followed the stuck character instructions, so was able to log back in. It put her in the Chamber of Heart. I used the ârename the Cache folder to CacheOldâ suggestion. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/32275
Went back in and the same thing happened, but I was able to reload the UI and it let me continue.

Lots of issues. After in game for a while, canât click on anything. Canât logout with âlogoutâ or esc key. Have to task end. Log in on another character or four - all OK. Log back in on original, says already exists. (Logging in as another character should of cleared server account connections in use - always has before.) I finished a time trial and landed. Then had to task end. Came back to this character after 1/2 to 1 hour. game showed me finishing the same time trial, like several seconds had been cached. I did The Theater and world boss. Could not open chests from theater. Collected gold from world boss though. Then had to task end. After coming back to this character, the Theater chests were gone, no item reward, vault not showing any activity.

ps: Played after morning maintenance steady till four oâclock. No issues. Logged back in at ~ 8 PM CDT. Issues started pretty much right away.

Same here. Canât cast anythingâŚbut I can type in chatâŚno one seems to see it. I just wait to be âdisconnectedâ and I was. Being in a dungeon I am then âflaggedâ with the deserter debuff! This really angers me.
happened when I went in the Rookery on my pally then she finally came good and then did it on my hunter doing the world boss just now.
Didnât know there were issues. Was in a timewalking dungeon got DCed now my character is stuck

this game is so bad holy f
