Character model controversy

You said game time for the amount of time banned. Okay… bans happened yesterday, reversed today. 1 day of effective ban time. I agree Blizzard should give all these people 1 day of free game time.

is it that hard to understand if blizz said you are banned for 981 days and then said 2 days later oh we messed up u are unbanned sorry they should get 981 days free game time for blizz mistake 1 day is free since its already paid for blizz needs to be punished for their mistake

yes that is hard to understand. impossible to understand actually.

A ban is a ban. A warning is informing. It’s sad they twisted people minds like yours believing this ban is a warning. It’s sad you never experience old Blizzard and how they treated warnings.

It also turned him into a matyr among his fanbase, and probably ultimately got him more attention and views than if he was able to share info from the summit.

I honestly can’t say I have any sympathy. He knew what he was doing, and still likely got off better financially for it.

Eh, if people are doing it to model their character differently, whatever.

If it’s to make things like nodes more visible or give them an advantage in PvE/PvP, ban 'em.

It probably is sad but I will be honest I do like watching the Banhammer come down on people. It tickles something deep and evil inside of me.

This is ridiculous.

Thats what I was referring to, but I didnt want to actually name the program since I dunno if that would be frowned upon.

Maybe they’re bending over to the complainers, but I actually find that less troubling than the idea that they could have done a ban wave with that many false positives.

its funny to me how many pawns and lemmings are ok with a big corporation that btw paid like no tax in 2018 treat people like crap, make mistakes and dont think they should be held accountable

Shhhhhhh. Stop being reasonable. This is the forums.

Trust me I hear ya on that, but not when it comes in this manner. This type should be treated different. The only reason why they do this is because the game is suffering on character customization something Blizzard fails to touch up on. FFXIV, ESO, GW2 work on this stuff often when they have the time within less than a year or even a year duration. WoW hasn’t touch up on it until recent, but only on two races. It’s nice, but not a good start.

Sure they should be held accountable. If you were banned by mistake and you lost 2 days of game time then sure you should get 2 days of game time added to your account. That’s reasonable. What you suggested was ridiculous.

That game time was already paid for then taken away. What punishment does blizz get then?

Why do you think they deserve punishment. They were well within their rights to ban people for what they did.

Fans became super-fans I guess, idk, its a common trend among anything with a following that becomes the center of some controversy usually. I don’t pay much attention to things like that and yeah, no sympathy here either, anyone associated with Blizzard knows that you have to maintain the ToS if you want to maintain that relationship.

Didn’t they get banned for using a mod that changed their character models?
